~ 2005 ~

Not too long ago, the Commander and Vice of the Tokyo Manji Gang met a rather odd boy who they quickly grew attached to.

Considering who this boy reminded him of, Mikey was determined to see him again and being the spontaneous boy he was, dragged Draken and Rain out of school and towards Takemichi's.

Rain of course didn't complain as she was always happy to miss school. She didn't exactly excel in that area, nor did Mikey. Draken on the other hand scolded the two, telling them that they were both failing and needed to attend.

He was of course ignored.

Rain stood outside the classroom, listening to Mikey causing a ruckus inside before he came back out with their new friend. The bleached boy's eyes fell to the pile of third year students on the floor, and he gasped in surprise.

His gaze soon fell to Rain, and he couldn't help but feel as though she were someone familiar. He wasn't able to put his finger on it.

"Hi, my name is Rain, you're Hanagaki Takemichi correct?" She asked and he took note of the formal way she spoke and the fact that she actually pronounced his name correctly. He wanted to cry.

"Yes! That's me." He said as the two began walking alongside the delinquent boys who were hopping over the body of third years. He couldn't help but stare until he finally realised where he knew her from.

"Oh, I know you!" He suddenly exclaimed as he snapped his fingers and she looked at him slightly startled. "Yeah! You helped me and a friend out one time about a year back!"

Takemichi and Akkun had picked a fight they couldn't handle, and she stepped in to help. Although, her presence alone was enough to scare the bullies off somehow, so he had never seen her fight. He always wondered why they would be afraid of a small girl like her, she looked harmless. Although he did have to admit, her aura was intimidating.

She remained by his side, trying to think back to this time but she came up blank.

"I don't recall." She said nonchalantly and he felt a bit embarrassed. "It's been a rough few years, I apologise for not remembering you." She said tilting her head down as if to offer a small bow, and he waved his arms hastily as he blushed.

"I- Its fine really! I'm just grateful for back then." He said and she smiled warmly at him, sensing a good vibe. He was still rather strange to her, though he could also say the same about her.

"I look forward to being friends with you." She said honestly and his heart warmed a little.

"Yeah, likewise!" he agreed.

He noticed how formal she still was. He thought it was a joke at first considering the two crazy people beside him, but she really was like this, which seems strange to him. Oddly he found it refreshing and felt a little more comfortable having her there and not just the erratic boys.
