~ Battle of August 3rd Part I ~

Peh showing up was not something Rain had anticipated, and certainly not his hostility that she could sense from a mile away. She could tell Draken sensed it too by the way he tensed up, and she clenched her fists readying herself.

"Here, take this." Draken said handing Emma the umbrella before shooting Rain a quick look which made her step back. She moved instinctively towards Emma as if to protect her as she was the most defenceless out of the three.

"What are you doing Peh?" The dark haired girl asked, and his sharp gaze shot to her. In truth, Peh had always been afraid of Rain. He wasn't expecting her to be here, but he couldn't do much about that now.

"Couldn't agree with what went down huh?" Draken asked and Peh clenched his teeth. "You wanna fight then or what? I'll take you on." Draken said clenching his fists.

"Ken-"

"Just stay back Rain, I'll handle this. Watch Emma." He said and she bit her bottom lip, accepting his orders.

Just as she turned her back, she heard Emma call Draken's name, and before she could react, he was smashed over the head with a bat and she felt her heart lurch.

"Get back now Emma." Rain said before she saw red, immediately launching at the guy who had attacked her vice commander and close friend. She sent him flying with a knee kick to the face, lord only knew where he landed.

Suddenly, they were swarmed by many other members who wore the Moebius logo and she stood in front of the injured boy protectively.

"Ken! You good?" She asked as she looked him over out of her peripheral vision, and he grunted slowly getting to his feet.

"Yeh I'm good. I can handle this." He said with determination, but she shook her head.

"No you can't, I'll handle it. Just sit down." She bit back, her protective instincts kicking in as her gaze shot between her enemies before her. She felt guilt wash over her for not stopping the attack on her friend. She was blaming herself for being too slow.

'I should know better, I should've been better.' She scolded herself. Her job was to protect, and she failed.

Rain moved into a position that was easier to protect both of them and Draken put a hand on her shoulder.

"I can fight."

"No, you need to rest." She said defiantly. One of the few times she ignored orders was when she felt someone she cared abouts life was in serious danger. She usually took it upon herself to handle it alone for their sake, but Draken could be just as stubborn as her.

"Let me be woman." He protested and began fighting alongside her anyway, yet he didn't manage to get many hits in because she was surrounding him to keep him safe.
