Y/N and Yelena landed at the Avengers compound the next morning, they were stepping off of the quinjet when they saw Wanda waiting for them.

"Must be important." Yelena said as Y/N nodded with suspicion. Wanda approached and hugged them both, Y/N returned the hug, a moment later Wanda took a step back and looked at them both before using her magic to carry their bags.

"Wanda? Are you okay?" Y/N asked, immediately noticing a lone tear fall down Wanda's face.

"They, the DODC burnt my house down...they branded me a fugitive." Wanda said as Y/N nodded to Yelena and they guided Wanda into the compound.

"Sit down, tell us what happened, everything." Y/N said as Wanda looked to him and nodded as Y/N began to make drinks for everyone.

"I had just woke up and was looking out at the lake when soldiers began to burst through the treelines, They were ordered to shoot on sight, but I escaped and when I looked back... they burnt it all down, everything I had left to remember them by." Wanda said as Yelena looked to Y/N who's hand balled into a fist.

"Did you get a name?" Y/N asked coldly, trying to judge the situation dispassionately but he was failing miserably at that as he had an Idea. "Yelena, Wanda, can you two leave the room please, it's best they don't see you both."

"Who?"

"DODC. I'm going to ask them directly, then I'll decide how best to act on their answer." Y/N said as Yelena looked to him and saw a raging fire in his eyes. When the two women had left Y/N turned the holo-meeting on and saw Ross appear, he turned to see Y/N stood there looking more than pissed off.

"Y/N?"

"Hello Ross. Long time no see...how's the leg?" Y/N said as he stood there glaring at Ross.

"What do you wan-"

"Why has the DODC burnt Wanda's house down and branded her a fugitive with a shoot to kill order out on her." Y/N said cutting Ross off before he could even answer. "And for the love of god, do not say because of Westview."

"We received intel on her breaking the conditions of her pardon and threatening someone."

"Did you at least look for any evidence before sending in a squad more trigger happy than GI Joe?" Y/N asked as Ross looked at him.

"We didn't need to." Everett Ross said as he joined.

"Really? I can't wait to hear this." Y/N said as Thaddeus smiled.

"Because that's not even the main reason we're charging her with, we're charging her with harbouring and collaborating with a fugitive from the law. Word is you know her, Yelena Belova." Thaddeus said as Y/N shook his head. "We're leaving Belova alone, so long as you let us have Wanda."

"Are you sure you want to try that again Ross, your legs not too good, won't be much good if you're being chased by someone with a grudge."

"Maximoff is a fugitive Y/N, unless you want to be sharing a cell with her on the RAFT then either help us bring her in or stay out of our way." Thaddeus said as Y/N looked at him.

"Betty would be ashamed of you if she saw you right now." Y/N said as Thaddeus clenched his hand into a fist.

"Betty?" Ross asked.

"I wonder what she would say if she knew what her father had been doing all these years-"

"Don't you bring my daughter into this!"

"Then don't bring my family and friends into this. You get one warning, back off or face the consequences." Y/N said as he hung up. Y/N walked to Yelena and she looked at his face.

"What did he say?"

"Nothing good. But Wanda needs my help. I don't care what Ross says I'm going to help her. She lost her brother because of my failure, I should have died that day but her brother saved me. I owe her my life." Y/N said as he saw Wanda emerge over Yelena's shoulder. Wanda walked up to him and pulled him in for an embrace.

"Ty mne nichego ne dolzhen, Malen'kiy Brat. [You don't owe me anything, Little Brother.]" Wanda whispered into Y/N's ear. Y/N simply said nothing as Yelena saw the exchange and smiled, she was part of this family, just like Natasha was. But she didn't want them to milk the moment.

"This is cute and all, but we need a plan." Yelena said as Y/N instantly began thinking of a plan.

"We need to get access to the DODC archives, find out everything about this...situation, that way we can know what's going on, and why they're looking for Wanda." Y/N said as he brought up plans for the DODC, and they spent the rest of the day going through the blueprints to figure out a plan of getting into the DODC HQ.
