Task Force 141 and Farah's forces had spent the night keeping the compound they had raided secure, until 8 am when backup arrived to take it over. The group all got onto a transport chopper and began flying back to the airport.
"Fuckin hell." Y/N said as Yelena saw him looking at the point on his armour where the bullet hit him.
"Nearly had you." Yelena said as Y/N nodded.
"Nearly. I'm getting rusty or I'm getting old." Y/N said as Yelena smiled and looked at him.
"Old my ass."
"Objection, I think your arse is perfect." Y/N said as Yelena smiled.
"Careful there or we might end up having to keep everyone waiting at the airport while we're in a hotel room." Yelena said as Y/N smirked.
"I can live with that." Y/N said as Price tapped him on the shoulder.
"Oi, you can live with that but we can't be literally arsed waiting for you." Price said as Y/N smirked.
"Cheeky bastard." Y/N said as Yelena laughed at the exchange.
When they arrived at the airport, they were greeted by Thaddeus Ross.

"Ross, what are you doing here?" Y/N asked.
"I want to thank you for saving my life, all of you. Anything you need, funding, I'll get you a blank cheque, permission to do something, I'll get you permission to invade the fucking country in question. Name it and you'll have it." Ross said as he looked to Y/N. "Just do what you have to in order to finish the mission."
"Thank you Mr Secretary." Y/N said as he shook hands, Ross smiled.
"It's General now, back in uniform and in the field."
"Thunderbolt Ross back in the field. Fucking hell." Y/N said as he smirked. "Good to have you back sir."
"Good to be back, son, good to be back." Ross said as he looked to the plane nearby. "The plane will pass over Rebirth Island, you're gonna have to jump in. Your team up for that?"
"Yes sir." Y/N said as Ross nodded.
"Good, go get ready then, the plane leaves in one hour." Ross said as Y/N nodded to the team. "You saved my life Y/N, that's a debt I can never repay, but I'll try, you're a good man L/N."
"Thank you sir." Y/N said as he left with Yelena the two of them preparing their equipment for the mission and packing it onto the plane before realising they had 45 minutes to spare, and they both thought of a way to occupy themselves...
