The Taskmaster...

As Y/N and Yelena arrived back in New York, they hailed a taxi to take them to the Avengers Compound, they were in the back of the taxi, Y/N was about to tell Yelena about his and Natasha's child.

"Lena? There's something I need to tell you." Y/N said as Yelena looked worried by the sentence, nothing good ever comes after that sentence.

"Is everything okay?" Yelena asked as Y/N pulled out the file and handed it to Yelena, it was best that she see for herself, and right now Y/N couldn't bring himself to say the words. Just as Yelena was about to read the file the taxi stopped as something landed on the bonnet of the car...it was Taskmaster. A bullet went through the windshield and killed the taxi driver.

Both Y/N and Yelena bailed out of the car, and took a defensive stance, Taskmaster stepped off of the taxi and began to stalk towards Yelena, she went for an attack on Taskmaster but her enemy was able to avoid almost every single attack before, Taskmaster picked up Yelena by the throat as Y/N rushed in and kneed Taskmaster in the back, forcing them to let go of Yelena, in an instant Taskmaster turned and backhanded Y/N hard enough to send him flying over the car. As Y/N stood up he saw a knee come flying in and then felt it hit him on the jaw. As Yelena climbed to her feet she saw Y/N get his head flying kneed into the side of a car.

Yelena rushed in and slid across the roof of the taxi and carried out a scissor takedown on Taskmaster who already knew how to counter it, she was slammed onto the floor next to Y/N, she looked to her boyfriend to see him climbing back to his feet, but he wasn't fast enough, a knife flew through the air and buried itself in Y/N's left shoulder, missing his heart by a few inches, then another knife landed in Y/N's right leg, making him fall to one knee as he looked up at the incoming metal covered fist, his head was smashed through the driver side window of a nearby car.

Y/N still refusing to stay down, got back up and took a kick to the face, sending his head through another window, Yelena stood up but was hit with a widows bite that began to stun her. Taskmaster pulled out a sword and brought it down, impaling it into Y/N's stomach. Y/N screamed in agony as Yelena struggled to pry the widows bite off of herself. Forced to watch as Taskmaster pulled out a pistol and aimed it at Y/N who put his arm in the way at the last second, the bullet hit Y/N's arm and then his head, Yelena could see the blood coming from Y/N's head, without another word Taskmaster took the file and left, shortly after which Yelena pried the widows bite of of herself and checked Y/N to see if he was still alive.

"No, no, no, no. Please, don't let me lose someone else. Wake up!" Yelena pleaded before remembering her glasses, she pulled them out and sent a distress beacon, hoping help would arrive to save Y/N...
