Elena's POV

I look up to see Stefan leaning against the door frame.He was smiling.

"You found her,didn't you?"

He nodded and walked over and sat by me and Aiden.I gave him the biggest hug as I could give him and started crying.

"We almost lost her before we had much time to spend with her."I cried out.

He put both hands on my face and wiped away all my tears.

"But we didn't.You and her are both going to get better and then we will live a happy life and watch both of them grow older." He said reassuringly.

I looked down at my sweet chubby boy on my lap.I lightly kissed his forehead.I don't deserve half as much happiness as I have.After Stefan's hand stroked my arms a few times a knock sounded in the room and a nurse appeared.

"I'm here to let you know that we will get you prepped for surgery in two hours."In all the chaos I put all my own problems.

The woman had left and I looked on the clock on the wall.In two hours, I would be going under to get out a 6cm tumor out of my lungs before it grows out towards the rest of my body.After surgery I will have to go through 7 rounds of chemo and radiation.Even then they won't know if I will die or not.

I heard a knock on the door and my heart swelled up so much I was sure it would explode.I saw my sweet little baby girl ,smiling a toothless grin, in a nurses arm.My family is safe at this moment in time now only if this moment would last forever.

~four hours later~

I am laying in my hospital bed with Stefan by my side.My whole body just hurts I've been sick four times in the last half hour.Ella would have to go into a treatment early in the morning and Damon would sit with her while Aiden is with Jeremey hopefully we will All be together in a couple of days.

~sorry for the long weight and sorry about this chapter it's really just a filler until the next chapter which I pretty much have done.I promise it will be better!
