Stefan and Elena "The News"

Damon

Damon's POV
I dropped Stefan on a red plastic chair in the waiting room.He seemed so out of it.Can vampires really lose their mind?Bonnie had sat down next to him and took Aiden from me.I went back to Elena.A doctor was speaking to Jenna outside of the room.Inside I could hear two nurses having a conversation.

"She's so young."
"She's not to young,she has two babies."
"She can die and they will be orphans."
"They won't be orphans.They have a father.I really hope she flat lines so I at least have a shot at him." .

I couldn't stand it anymore.I walked causally into the room and locked the door behind me.The two nurses looked up.Both looked to be around twenty.If they keep talking like they are, they will remain that age.The ground would be good for them but I couldn't kill someone with Elena in the room.I decided to let them live and compel them to leave.They left immediately.

I walked over to this beautiful girl who looked so weak.The girl who we almost lost a few times in the last couple days.The girl who I am immensely in love with.I kissed her forehead and that's when it happened.

Elena awoke.

She was gasping.She couldn't seem to catch her breath.What was going on?Four middle-aged nurses came running in with the doctor, who put a clear oxygen mask over Elena's face.

I ran from the room.I couldn't watch the scene in front of me play out.I walked over to Bonnie and a distressed Stefan beside her.Little Aiden could sense his fathers mood because he kept kicking the air near him and squealing.What a sweet boy.Just a look in his eyes took almost all the stress away.Almost.I still had to find out what is going on with Elena.A young nurse in yellow scrubs walked by.Those yellow scrubs had just been talking about the death of the most beautiful girl in the world.

I gave Bonnie one look and grabbed the young nurse and dragged her in to the stairwell.I looked in her eyes."What is wrong with Elena Gilbert?"

"I don't know."

I repeated myself at least twenty times with the same outcome.I was getting furious.She knew and she wasn't going to tell me.I pulled her toward me and I drained her dry.I lifted her up and ran her down to the morgue.And that's when I saw it a small body with a sheet.It made me remember something important.Ella.

I ran to the hall outside of the OR.She was being rolled into recovery.I saw the doctor walk out,I immediately started walking to Stefan I needed to tell him.

I got their just as the doctor did.I took Aiden from Stefan, incase some bad news were in order.

"Stefan,Ella is being moved to recovery.She will receive chemo tommorow.By this time next week she should be cancer free."

I was relieved.I sat down and took a deep breath.I saw Stefan go down the hall,he was heading towards Elena's room.Fifteen minutes later I saw Dr.Drixcail walk down the hallway.This couldn't be good.I gave Bonnie Aiden and started walking down the hall but I only got halfway down the hall when I saw....
