Coming Home

(Stefan's POV)

Elena went to sleep after she sobbed into my chest for a good twenty minutes.Why did the most beautiful, most caring, and the most amazing creature in the universe have to cry over something I did to her?

She had asked me what were we going to do and I had replied with "Don't worry everything will be okay."I didn't believe my own words.Katherine was in Mystic Falls.Elena was pregnant with twins and far along at that.We had sex a week ago and she was almost showing.It takes almost three months for a woman to start showing.What had I done?

When ever Elena had called me the craziest thing happened.The woman who both me and Damon had once loved walked up to the open door of my home and smiled that wicked smile at me.I told Damon on the phone because if she was alive who knew who else would show up.I hung up the phone after I gave out the warning.

I stood face- to -face with this woman who looked exactly like the woman I was worrying about back in Georgia.

"Aren't you going to invite me in Stefan?I don't bite,too hard."She said still smiling.

My senses kicked in.I had to get to Elena.I had to get away from this thing that killed me 164 years ago.

"Get away from me, Katherine."I said,almost growling.

Katherine's face turned serious.

"Well, I still have a task I must complete."

The next moment a stabbing pain went thru my body.She had drove a wooden stake into my stomach.

"Whenever that baby comes, we'll take it."

She was gone.She wasn't in town when I left and she wasn't in town when I brought Elena back to her home.She wanted to tell Jenna and Jeremy on her own.I was worried for her at first but then I got a call from her.

"Stefan I'm coming home.I'm coming to OUR home."

She was coming to this home that we would watch our children grow up in.She was coming to the home were we started the family at.She was coming home.
