Stefan and Elena "The News"

Family Reunion

(Stefan's POV)

It has been two days since Elena gave birth.She has not woken up since.That night Bonnie had called Elena's family on how she was.They showed up to help stay with Elena but after four o'clock in the morning yesterday, it was down to me and Damon.We have taken turns on being with Elena and being with Ella both are so sick they don't need to be by themselves.

I am currently sitting in a recliner, that is in Elena's room, holding Aiden.He was so happy and cute.If I started to worry he would look up at me with his blue eyes and it would all go away.Right now, the thing I'm most worried about is Ella.She will be put on chemo in three hours, which hopefully will kill most of the cancer cells and then they operate on her.Only a few days old and she's having her first operation.

I wish that my love will open her eyes so she can see her daughter before we possibly could loose her forever.How could I let this happen?How could I actually think I could have a normal life?

Beep .. Beep .. Beep .. Beep..

I turn my head to see the love of my life staring back at me.

"S-Stefan?"Her voice was dry but it still gave joy to my heart.

"Elena, how are you feeling?"I said shifting in my seat while still holding Aiden.

"I'm okay.A-a little sore but okay."She looked down at the cute little boy in my arms.

"Is this our baby?"

"Yes, this is Aiden.Aiden meet your beautiful mother."

"Can I hold him?"I smiled at Aiden and then put him in Elena's arms.

A young nurse in scrubs came in with my little Ella in her arms and a worried Damon behind her.

"I thought the family of this cute little baby would like to keep her until she goes into the operation room."She gave Ella to me as Damon sat down on the end of Elena's bed.

Ella had a little tube in her mouth, from where the doctors would feed her milk, which made her skin look even paler.Elena didn't ask about the operation she just said,"What a beautiful family we got here."

I didn't have the heart to tell her that the family might lose a member by the end of the day.
