It had been a month since you arrived at the compound. One month of chaos, destruction, and of course, mischief. Steve had already made the official 'new member' announcement, and Natasha was training all of the trainees. Pietro, you, and Wanda had bonded quickly, and now you were family. You and Tony were practically the same person, minus the arrogance and the riches. Thor was a great friend, Vision was still a naive toaster, and Loki. Loki was something. He was indescribable.
In this bright, white compound, you were suffocating. Everything was so blank. It was like a canvas always waiting to be painted. Your schedule was always full, which meant you were never able to paint the canvas. Every day you trained, ate, trained, ate, caused mischief, ate, and slept. When Steve offered a day off, you jumped at the opportunity.
Tony wanted to throw a party for the one-month anniversary, but everyone declined his offer. Sulking a little, he instead offered to give all of you gifts. You immediately took advantage of the influential, rich man in front of you.
"You're a rich man, right Tony?"
"Yes."
"And such a rich person must be a generous person."
"Yes."
"If you grow his ego any bigger it would reach Asgard." Loki whispered in your ear.
You winked at him. Addressing Tony, you said, "And such a generous, amazing, kind, genius must want to get a pitiful, adopted orphan anything, despite the cost, right?"
"Yes."
"You promise?"
"Anything for you kid." He whispered proudly to Steve, "Look at my child."
Steve rolled his eyes at Tony's blindness to your manipulation.
"Then, can you give me two rooms, one preferably larger with windows?"
"Done, N/n." Tony said with a snap.
~~~
"Why did you ask for two rooms? Why not one?" Loki asked.
You put your hands behind your head and leaned back while you walked. "I recall you said that you were bored? I'm making one into a library for you."
"And why would you do that?" He peered at you.
"Books are a nice escape from this world and a great way to gain knowledge."
"You're avoiding the question."
"Maybe your majesty is a nice, misunderstood person and deserves a gift."
Loki looked stunned. "Thank you, darling."
Your heart skipped a beat as Loki strolled ahead.
"Are you coming?" Loki said as he continued to walk ahead. "Race you to the common room." He said as he started to run.
"Not fair!" You made a portal appear in front of him, so he was running the same strip of hallway over and over again. You then conjured a portal to the living room. Loki appeared a moment later in a flash of green.
"You cheated."
"As did you."
"Head starts aren't cheating! They're just an initial advantage."
"So is knowing how to make someone run infinitely on the same stretch of hallway." You said satisfied, thinking you had won because no one had retorted. Until you looked up at a looming shadow. The god of mischief descended on you, tickling you.
"Stop, stop!" You shouted while giggling.
"Never!" Loki responded in a goofy voice.
In the background, Pietro and Wanda were setting up bets with each other.
