"When I see you again?"

"Very soon, Y/n. When I'm finally released from my banishment, I'll see you. 'Til then, Miss Memory."

"'Til then, Horns."

You woke up with a jolt, rubbing your forehead. It felt like your consciousness had been to Helheim and back.

It had been a month. A month since your mother had left. A month since your family fell apart. A month since your childhood truly ended. Stephen had tried to help you as much as possible, but you could see his hopes start to fall.

You laughed. The hell you had put Stephen and Wong in to help you. They had been there to comfort you, even through the emotional outburst, and the three o'clock in the morning impulse searches for your mother and Mordo throughout Kamar-taj.

Check, Check, Check. Denial, anger, bargaining. Three out of five. WooHoo!

Depression hit you the hardest. You were still drowning in sorrow, and at times it felt like you were boxed in, unable to breathe.

Nowadays, you just stayed inside your room, only coming out at night for food and to train, and always wearing the same oversized green hoodie. You didn't really feel motivated to do anything, other than wallow in grief and feel angry at yourself for not being better. If you were better, maybe you could have saved her.

You were training in the courtyard when Stephen first informed you of the invitation. The invitation to visit Asgard.

"You need the time off and away from here so you can heal." He had said.

"This place, my home, reminds me of my failure. It'll help me get stronger."

"Y/n, you need to leave. You are not in the right state of mind."

"No. I won't go."

"Not even to see him?" Steven retorted, his implication clear.

You reddened. "He'll only be a distraction, I need to be stronger, to prove myself."

Stephen had lost all his patience. He slapped you. "Y/n! Your obsession with being stronger isn't going to bring her back! She wanted you to be happy and live your life! Not sail the sea of self-pity!"

"Fine. Then leave. If you can't bear to see me do this, then leave."

"Too bad," Stephen said, gaining composure. "I already sent a response saying you are to join them in two weeks."

"What?!"

"Better pack your bags, sister," Stephen responded cheekily.

You opened a portal under him to the river, dropping him twenty-one feet into the cold water below.

Caution, the spell included to create a tether between two persons is incredibly advanced and dangerous. If done wrong, side effects/results may include:

- Death
- String of fate between said persons
- Merging of souls
- Loss of memory
...

There was a knock at your door and you closed your book without finishing the passage.

"You ready?" Stephen asked.

"Yes," You replied, looking around your room.

"Hey, try, okay? I know I pushed this onto you, but please try to heal ok?"

"Ugh, now you sound like my therapist." You remark, weakly trying to joke around. "But I'll try ok?"

You two walked through a portal onto an open field.
