"Are you ok?" Stephen asked, knocking on the door.
"I'm fine." You curtly responded, admiring your new outfit in the mirror.
"How are you holding up?" He asked as you heard him lean onto the previously mentioned door.
"I said. I'm fine." You replied, gritting your teeth to bite back the memories.
"Really? You don't sound fin-" Stephen was cut off when you yanked open the door and he practically fell inside.
"I changed my outfit and you're already falling for me?" You smirked.
Stephen rolled his eyes. "I see the snark is back."
"Oh, it never left. It was just overshadowed by..." You paused, taking a moment to clear your mind. It never happened. She'll be there when you get home. But where was home? Was it with the Avengers? Was it Kamar-taj? Was it with someone? You didn't want to think about it. "Anyways, I'm ready to kick some ass."
"Really?" Stephen asked, looking you up and down. "In that? You probably can barely get a kick out in those heels."
"If you insist." You said, turning your shoes into boots the same color. "But that is the point. It's to show those bastards that I don't need to physically assert myself to kill them. I can just end their life within a blink of an eye."
Stephen shifted uncomfortably at the mention of killing. "Ok, just don't trip and fall princess."
"I'm no princess!"
"Mhm, says the one that whispers a prince's name in her sleep."
You reddened. "I do?"
Stephen just walked away.
"Hey, you! Come back!"

"You wanted to talk to me quickly, sister?" Mordo said with a concerned gaze. You knew he despised your mother for drawing from the dark dimension, but he hid it for your sake. How touching.
"Yes. In order to end so of our soon-to-be-dead enemies' lives, I need to close my eyes for at least a second or two. That will be enough to kill them."
"I don't see how I'm needed," Mordo answered.
"Kaecilius knows this. He knows how my powers work. As well as my mother knows. That split second could be all it takes for him to kill me. I need to be protected. Can you do that for me?"
"Couldn't you ask Strange?"
"He's uncomfortable with ending another life."
"Isn't a quick death too much of a mercy?"
"Who said it was going to be quick?" You said grinning at him.
Mordo nodded in agreement. "Let's do it."
"The princess and her kniiiiiggggggghhhhhhhhtttttt~" Stephen sang out as he walked past you two.
You threw a dagger at his back, and before it reached him, the cloak batted it away.
"No fair," You huffed.
~~~
You arrived onto a scene of chaos. You scoffed and flicked a noodle off your dress from a nearby pedestrian who was eating and dropped his bowl in a rush to get away.
Kaecilius approached all of you as you all stared at the destroyed sanctum.
"Ah! I see you're here to enjoy the show!"
All of you stood in stony silence, and you willed Strange not to make a snarky comment.
"And Y/n, green was always your color," Kaecilius said, eying you. Oh, how you would love to rip his eyes out.
Patience Y/n, patience. Your mother had said.....wait when did you last talk to your mother? You'll have to talk to her as soon as you got back to Kamar-taj.
Stephen started to reverse time as Kaecilius lunged to kill him. Stephen immediately freed you from the time warp, and you re-flicked the noodle away from your dress. "Gross."
Strange undid the time warp on Mordo as all of you ran towards the sanctum, hoping to scavenge or fix it. Well, they ran. You remembered you were a sorceress and teleported.
"Watch out," You said as you teleported yourself behind Mordo to block an attack coming at his head. Kaecilius and his followers had broken free of the time loop. "Let's put our plan into motion, shall we?" You remarked as a cruel smile twisted your face.
You grasped on of the follower's life strand, tugging it, making the real person falter. Then you started to rip off pieces. Memories of how to walk. Memories of light. You hummed, acting like you were husking an ear of corn.
He gradually forgot how to do anything. Even breathe. To the eyes of anyone else, he just simply choked and couldn't breathe.
You did the same to the girl. Burning her string of life away from existence. Then you froze. You simply couldn't move. The flow of time had stopped. Then Strange was in front of you.
"What have you done?" You asked.
"I gave Kaecilius what he wanted." He replied as Kaecilius started to float away.
"No, no!" You desperately cried out.
"Y/n, you need to stop. This is not who you are! You're not fine. Take a breather."
You collapsed, sobbing. Were you so useless that you couldn't even exact revenge? Revenge for your mother's death?
Death? Your mother was dead. Impossible. She was all-powerful. You just had to return home to Kamar-taj. She would be waiting. You were going to tell her all about this bad dream. How she had died in your nightmares. She would stroke your hair and you would push her hand away, protesting that you weren't a child anymore. She would sigh, and you would sneak into the kitchen and steal food for you both. That's right. Everything will be fine.
"Y/n?" Wong asked.
"Yes?" You replied, face bright. "Where's Mordo?"
"He walked away a few seconds ago," Strange said.
"Oh, I'm sure he's going back to Kamar-taj to report to my mother. He was always such a suck-up." You scoff.
"But-" Wong started to say.
"Well, I better hurry home, Mother must be worried sick!"
"Y/n-" Strange started.
"Come on! Let's get some food on the way back!" Reluctantly they followed, giving each other strange looks.
Everything was going to be alright.
Right?
