Since then, helping others had become a part of Yoohyeon's life. She knew someone calling her name meant that she was expected to drop whatever she was doing and fulfil their tasks first. And she always said yes. She just wanted to help.

She also discovered that as long as she satisfied them, they liked her fine. So she worked hard to satisfy them. She made sure everything she did was on point, to make them happy. She told herself if she worked hard, it will soon come to an end and she would be able to rest.

Except they never came to an end. People always wanted more, and more meant more extreme. 'Helping them out' quickly skyrocketed from lending them homework to running more laps than her physical wellbeing could handle around the school for them in detention. At least at first people actually made the effort to act nice. But as time went by, they realised she would say yes no matter what, so why even bother asking?

Yoohyeon hated how she had no one to blame but herself. She was too nice, and she let others use this as an advantage. She let others take her kindness for granted.

She knew she was hurting herself, but what could she possibly do to change the way people viewed her as? All she had was a fixed reputation of being gullible, and she didn't know how to get rid of it. She wanted to change what people thought of her, one of the reasons why people never spoke to her unless they wanted something. People felt like she was dirty and honestly, she felt that way as well. She was disgusted at herself for letting everyone use her and treat her like a slave. She hated herself and her incapability of turning someone down, saying a simple 'no', and letting others see how much she wanted all of this to stop.

She held absolutely no value in her school, she was nothing but a 'thing' to them. No one cared about how she felt about all of this, and honestly why would they? Who wouldn't want someone doing everything for them? Yoohyeon was like a blessing to them, not as in an compliment, but more of an insult. She's easy, she's stupid. She's crazy. She's so naive that it's almost entertaining. These were the words Yoohyeon grew up listening to, to such an extent that she had grew numb to these comments.

She knew they were true anyway.
