Minji tapped her fingers on the counter as she watched an elderly couple walk away after having their order taken. It had been days since she last saw Yoohyeon, and she was worried. What if she got hurt?

But then Yoohyeon's words came to her. You don't know me at all. She was right. True, they had known each other for like, 5 days, but what did she really know about the girl? What did she know about her relationship with that person? She knew nothing. So it wasn't up for her to interfere. After all, it was up to Yoohyeon, whether she wanted to tell her or not. So all she could do now was wait.

'Something bothering you?' Minji felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up. 'It's just that you've been staring at that dollar bill for 2 minutes.' Handong explained.

'Nothing, I'm just worried.' Minji let out a sigh and started up the coffee machine. 'I-'

She broke off when she heard the bell on the door ring as someone entered. 'Hey, just thought I'd drop by. Since I haven't seen you in a while.'

Minji glanced up to see the daughter of the flower shop owner a few blocks away, who she was also quite close with as they grew up together. 'Hey, Minsoo.' She offered a small smile.

'What's with that face? I thought you'd be happy to see me.' Minsoo pouted and sat down on the stool across from where Minji stood, grabbing the drink she had just made for herself. Minji started to stop her, but then decided to leave it. She'll just make another one for herself later.

Minsoo took a sip and put it down again. 'Not my style, but I appreciate the effort.' Minji didn't oppose. Minsoo was rarely satisfied with anything she was given and Minji was used to it. 'How are things with your boyfriend?' She asked, trying to change the topic.

'We broke up. Not that I care. Never really liked him that much.' Minsoo waved her hand, as if to dismiss the topic. 'Anyway, remember the girl I've been telling you about? Well, she's been ignoring my messages for 3 days now. I don't know what came over her.'

'Who? The one who helps you do your shit?' Minji asked, and Minsoo nodded. 'Yeah, her. She even ignored all my calls. What a bitch. A few days ago she was-'

'Soo, I thought we talked about this. You told me you would stop.' Minji looked at her friend, who shrugged. 'Well, she doesn't mind. She does all that shit for other people as well.'

'You don't know that. Has she ever told you how she felt about this? Have you ever asked her?'

Minsoo looked at her wearily. 'And do you know her personally? No, you don't. So quit trying to be her knight in shining armor or something.'

'Maybe she's just busy,' Minji concluded, not wanting to further upset her friend. 'You should give her a break too, you know.'

'Ji, it's winter break. How busy can she possibly be?'

'Just give her some time then, I guess.' Minji shrugged, wanting this topic to end as soon as possible. Minsoo rolled her eyes and stood up.

'Whatever, she'll come back to me eventually.' Then she turned on her heel and left the store, leaving behind a dumbfounded Minji and a half finished drink.
