Yoohyeon's head spun as she walked out of the cafe, her vision becoming increasingly blurrier with each step she took. Minji lied. Minji lied. Minji lied. She let the door slam behind her, hearing the older girl say something but not particularly keen on catching the words. She forced herself to keep moving - she was not about to break down crying on the goddamn streets. But it was until she turned the corner when she finally let it out, ugly tears flowing down her cheeks as she wiped them away with the back of her hand. Of course she's friends with Minsoo. I was a fool for believing she would be any different.

It took everything in her to finally heave herself off the sidewalk and cross the road to the street she lived on. She stumbled towards her house, stopping in her tracks once she noticed a familiar pink Chevy parked a few houses down. Minsoo's car. 'Fuck,' she muttered, immediately ducking her head. It was no use; Minsoo had already seen her. 'Get in,' the girl ordered through the open window.

'You can't make me.'

'Oh, really?' Minsoo sneered, pointing towards her house. 'Your sister's right there. One button and I can send her right down. She doesn't know what kind of person you are,' she added in a menacing whisper, placing her hand on the horn threateningly.

Yoohyeon narrowed her eyes, still firmly rooted to the ground. 'What do you want?'

'Get in the car.' Yoohyeon reluctantly obeyed, making sure to take her own sweet time as she plodded across the street to Minsoo's car. 'Where are we going?' She asked as she buckled herself into the backseat.

'Stop asking questions.'

Yoohyeon stayed silent the entire ride, focusing on the passing scenery instead of Minsoo's obnoxious voice singing along to the radio. Eventually the car rolled to a stop in front of two large metal gates, and as Minsoo walked up to the little guard house she pondered whether it would be worth it to throw open the car door and run for her life. She already had her hand on the handle when Minsoo's conversation with the guard piqued her interest. 'I'm his classmate,' she overheard her say. 'We're here for the party.' A party?

She watched in awe as the gates slid open to reveal a house... or rather, mansion. She knew the kids who went to her school were rich, but this was on a whole new level. She could already hear the loud music emitting from the house, even though they were still a couple of feet away and the car windows were rolled up.

Minsoo turned into the lawn adjacent to the residence and parked her car in an empty spot. 'Stay with me,' she ordered, knocking on the front door. It swung open after some time and Yoohyeon recognised the person as Dongjun, a boy in her grade. He sat two seats away from her in Chemistry and was known for being one of the best-looking guys on campus... as well as dating girls just to fuck them and then breaking up with them the day afterwards. She shifted uncomfortably under his gaze, not liking the way he seemed to be undressing her with his eyes. 'Good, you came.' He remarked, a sly grin spreading across his face as he stepped aside to let them enter.

The room smelled a mixture of sweat and alcohol. Minsoo kept a tight grip on her shoulder as they moved further into the room, which was packed with sweaty teenagers dancing to an upbeat pop song she didn't know the name of. She desperately scanned the crowd for familiar faces, but it was too dark to even see properly. For a brief second she thought about texting Bora to come pick her up, but when she felt in her pocket for her phone she was met with nothing but the cool fabric of her coat rubbing against her hand. Fuck, did I leave my phone at the cafe? She slumped in defeat, closing her eyes momentarily in an attempt to block out the noise.

When she opened them again, she was being dragged to sit in a circle in the middle of the room, where a few people were setting up some sort of game on the floor. 'What's this?' She asked a friendly-looking girl sitting on her left, who was dressed rather properly considering the fact that it was a party. She looked like she could go to church right now. But again, she was in no position to judge.

The girl studied their surroundings for a moment and shrugged. 'Not sure. But by the looks of it, there's going to be a lot of alcohol involved,' she chuckled. 'Not like that's gonna stop me!' She added cheerfully, throwing her head back as she laughed. It reminded her of Minji. Stop, a voice inside her head said. Forget about her. She's not worth your time.

Her train of thoughts were quickly interrupted by someone announcing that they would be playing Truth or Dare. She groaned inwardly. These types of games never end well. 'I'm out,' she muttered, getting up from the floor.

'Where do you think you're going?' She was startled by Minsoo's voice as a hand pulled her back down and held her in place. 'You're not going to let everyone down, are you?'

'I'm not doing that shit anymore,' Yoohyeon hissed as she tried to pry her arm from Minsoo's grip.

Minsoo snorted. 'Pfft. As if we're gonna do those silly little favors, it's getting boring. Let's spice it up.' She smiled sweetly and leaned in close to Yoohyeon's ear. 'You're going to make a lot of people happy tonight, Yoohyeonie.' Her insides turned cold once she realised what Minsoo was implying.

She did not like where this was going.

And as much as she hated to admit it, she missed Minji.
