"So you've finally come to your senses, ay?" Ragnar asked.
"I don't know if I should trust you, but I don't have a lot of options." I said.
"Glad to see your sensible. Follow me." Ragnar smiled.
I followed Ragnar. He led me to a cave.
"Lycanwings like the dark rather than the light." Ragnar said.
"Yeah. I got that." I said shielding my face with my hand.
We walked into the cave. It felt cold and dark, just what a Lycanwing needs. Ragnar sat down and so did I.
"Tell me about how you turned into a Lycanwing." I said.
"Same as you. I was bit by one. I was a young lad. Younger than you. I was fetching water from the well, that's when a Lycanwing attacked me." Ragnar started.
He showed me the bite mark. It wasn't healed like mine. They were almost identical.
"Why doesn't the bite heal?" I asked.
"Look Hiccup, I don't know everything. But what I do know is that the bite will never heal. It's a marker. If you have the bite-mark of a Lycanwing, you stay a Lycanwing." Ragnar said.
My head dropped. I guess I should've know that I would be stuck as a Lycanwing.
"The bite-mark will never heal, but the rest of you will heal fast." Ragnar said.
I looked at him in doubt. My eyebrow raised.
"Look at your spear wound." Ragnar said.
"How'd you know about it?" I asked.
"All will be revealed. Just look at your spear wound." Ragnar persuaded.
I took of the bandages. I was surprised to see Ragnar's words to be true. The wound was completely healed.
"Anything else I should know about Lycanwings?" I asked.
"You've heard the stories?" Ragnar asked.
"Yeah, a few. I've heard Lycanwings thirst for blood. Lycanwings change on the full moon." I said.
"You're right about the fact that we crave blood. However, we can change whenever we want. We don't have to change on the full moon. I take it you've experienced it?" Ragnar asked.
"Yeah, that's right." I said.
"The moon is just an amplifier. It amplifies our power. Our senses, speed, and fire." Ragnar said.
"How can I control it?" I asked.
"That, I can teach you." Ragnar smiled.
