Dear Diary,I had enough of it. I can't believe that Jack lied to me and the team, I thought that he could be trusted but what he did was a mistake. Now, the team is falling apart because today was the Science Fair and I just want this project to be finish. Merida and Rapunzel gathered the equipments for the project but I still needed extra help. But since Jack is resting but in HIS WAY then we have no choice but to do this.
-Hiccup-
We went to school 5:00 in the morning. Good thing the girls slept early. I started working on the rocket and it was harder than I expected. I knew that Jack wouldn't come here because he was too embarrassed to go here. The girls knew what he did, Rapunzel even tried to protect him."You need anything else?" Rapunzel asked. "Uhm...glue sticks, cardboards and pencils," I answered. Rapunzel gave me what I need. "Oh, Hiccup...we need to tell you something," Rapunzel asked and bit her lip. "What's wrong?" I asked. "We're running out of supplies," Rapunzel said and scratched her head.
"What? How could that be? I thought we had enough," I said. "We didn't know we were going to do it larger, and worst is that it won't be functional," Rapunzel answered. At first, I thought I was lucky but why is this happening to me? I am the master of nerds and yet I couldn't make a rocket. "I--I need a moment," I said and walked away.
Merida and Rapunzel were left in the room, they looked at each other. "I'll go see Jack," Rapunzel said. Merida pulled her hand gently. "No, I'll do it. I know you're a little stressed out but I think I can reason with him, you need to rest, okay?" Merida pull a little smile on her face. "Thank you," Rapunzel said. They both hugged each other.
Merida gets her hood and left the school for a while.
Jack decided not to go to school, so instead, he played darts in his house. He was pretty mad to himself. Later, Merida knocks on Jack's door. He didn't answer. "Jack, it's me," Merida said. "Go away," Jack said and made a sad look on his face. "Jack, I need to talk to you," Merida demanded.
"Didn't you hear what I just said? Look, I don't wanna talk to you, I want to rest," Jack said and threw another dart. "Resting huh? Playing darts is what you called resting?" Merida said. Jack raised his eyebrows. He went closer to the door and opened it. "How did you know I was playing darts?" Jack raised his hand and put it in the wall. "I can sense it, and I don't care. I just wanted to talk to ya," Merida said.
"I am not talking to you," Jack said. Merida crossed her arm. "Okay, fine. But just please hear me out," Merida said. Jack nodded. "I am not mad to ya. The reason why is that because I know you. I can say that you've changed but not completely, I was going to be mad to you but I thought about it twice. We accepted you in this team for who you are and what you are, and it might be a long for you to change. But the important thing is that you helped us and maybe Hiccup just doesn't know you that well," Merida explained.
Jack didn't response quickly. "I--I didn't know you think of me as that, I thought you were mad at me. How about Rapunzel?" Jack asked. "At first he was, but I explained it to her," Merida said and nodded. Jack chuckles quietly. "You really didn't get mad at me? Not even a bit?" Jack asked. "I could say that I always get mad at you...but this time, I'm not," Merida said.
Unexpected, Jack hugged Merida. Her eyes were widened and she slow my hugged Jack back. "Uhm...why are ya hugging me?" Merida asked and raised her eyebrows. Jack shrugged his shoulder. "I don't know...I think maybe I thank you for understanding me. But I still hate myself," Jack said.
They both let their hands go. "Today is the Project and Hiccup is mad at me," Jack said. "He won't be anymore," Merida smiled. "What?" Jack asked. "Come with me, we're going shopping," Merida grabbed his hand and left Jack's house.
Rapunzel and Hiccup were struggling to finish the project, they were running out of supplies. "Where's Merida?" Hiccup asked. "Uhm...I don't know," Rapunzel lied. "The project is after three hours!" Hiccup shouted. Later, he was about to go out to look for Merida, but someone blocked him. It was Jack, carrying supplies.
Hiccup just glared at him. "I know that your mad, and I'm sorry, I was such a jerk to lie...I guess it was part of me that I regretted. It's fine if you won't forgive me yet, but I bought supplies just to finish the project. I know how much this is important to you. Back then, I always laughed to the people like you because they were making this inventions that I thought was just their play toy...but now I understand that you guys do this for the someone and for the future," Jack said. He handed the boxes to Hiccup and he took it.
Rapunzel gave Jack a hug. "This is amazing Jack, thank you," she said. Hiccup breaths deeply. "I'm sorry too, I was too obsessed with this and I focus on your good doings and I didn't remember that you weren't used to do this stuffs," Hiccup said. Jack put his hand on Hiccup's shoulder. "I understand, and from now on...I won't lie," Jack said. They both shook hands and have forgiven each other.
"Alright, let's finish this," Hiccup said. They all helped other to finish the project. It was one hour since they've finished the project. They were relieved and glad to see the outcome of their project.
Later, all of the he teams have presented their own projects. They were astounded to see every the projects of the students. "Hiccup...is your turn," Jack said. Hiccup stood in front of the people and he was very much confident that the Rocket Project will work. It was a five feet rocket launcher. He finally took the matches and flames the ropes. Surprisingly, the rocket launched. And in one rocket, it had 20 different shots designs and colors.
Hiccup and the team did great. And the best was they had a standing ovation from the sponsors, teachers, principals and students. And in the end, they received the best points. "Wow, catching up hm?" Mr. Claus said. "Yes, and we won't let you down," Hiccup said. "Good, see you next week," Mr. Claus said.
Later, Hiccup was alone and he saw Astrid coming towards him. "Hey, that was pretty cool," Astrid said. "Sorry you've got fourth place," Hiccup said. Astrid shook her head. "No, it's fine actually. Your team deserved it," Astrid said. Hiccup nodded. "Uhm, are you free this week end?" Astrid asked. "Yes, why?" Hiccup asked. "Can we go out?" Astrid asked. Hiccup felt his face getting warmer. "Uhhh, go out?" Hiccup asked. "Yea, it would be cool right?" Astrid said. "Y--yea sure," Hiccup answered. "Really? Thank you...here's my number, call me" Astrid gave him a hug and walked away.
Hiccup stood still at that moment. "Ehem, looks like the cool nerd is going out with his crush," Jack said. "How did you know that stuff?" Hiccup asked. "I just sense it," Jack said. "Well, time to go home, see you guys tomorrow," Jack said. "Jack...thank you," Hiccup said. "Don't mention it," Jack said and pats his back.
Finally, Hiccup successfully made the project possible. But what will be his next trial?
