Chapter 36

Everything went well during our stay here in Ilocos. Athena also said that she really enjoyed her stay here. She usually bond mostly with kuya Sandro and to be honest medyo close na silang dalawa ganon din naman si Athena kila tita liza at tito bong. I am happy that the persons close to me are also getting along well. Tomorrow would be Athena's last day here in Ilocos and also kuya Sandro. He needs to go back to work na daw kase so sabay na lang daw sila ni Athena and sila tito and tita naman will go back to manila after 2 days but I decided to stay a little longer here in Ilocos. They are all insisting na bumalik na ako sa Manila with them kase nga wala daw akong kasama dito but I said to them na wala din naman akong gagawin sa manila so better stay here in Ilocos para na din makapagrelax ako ng mas matagal before mag start yung internship ko. I know that would be so tiring and stressful kase seeing dad before working and at times when he got home, he can't even eat dinner, he just go straight to bed and sleep. I am also planning to visit kase places here in Ilocos na parati naming pinupuntahan dati ni Simon. If before, I don't want to visit them because I don't want to feel sad but this time I wanted to visit those places because I wanted to reminisce all the happy memories we had together before as what he said, places are visited for the happy memories to be remembered. I and Simon always make sure to share words of wisdom to each other everytime we are going through something. It is one of our ways of making each other feel better because we both believe that words of wisdom always clears our minds para mas makapag isip ng positive things and forget about our problems or find ways to solve it. People might find it weird but bata pa lang kame ni Simon we usually have a lot of words of wisdom siguro dahil na din sa hilig naming magbasa ng books and of course dahil sa words of wisdom from our parents.

Sunny! Tawag saakin ni Athena.
What? I answered her.
Would you mind taking me to bangui  windmills later? She said to me.
You haven't been there? Kuya Sandro suddenly asked from behind. Bigla bigla na lang tong sumusulpot.
Yeah! As what I have told you, this is my first time here in Ilocos and my first day here with Sunny, she just brought me to some churches here and the rest was all with you guys na. Athena said to him. I have a reason why I am not bringing her there.
Okay but don't you know that Sunny is not going there except if she has a problem or if she is with Simon? Kuya Sandro said. Yes that is my reason why I am not bringing her there. The Marcoses knows that kase they used to asked me to join them there before but I always refused their invitation and they knew my reason nung birthday ni kuya Sandro na nagkaproblema ako because of his exgirlfriend. .
Its actually fine kuya. I am planning to go there din naman po. I said to them.
Why? May problem ka ba? Kuya sandro worriedly asked me.
No kuya. I just wanted to visit the places I and Simon used to go before. I said to them.
Are you really sure about that? Athena asked me for assurance.
Just like what simon told me, places are visited to remember the happy memories that has been shared there so I wanted to visit those places para maalala at balikan yung mga masasayang memories namin together. I said to them.
Para namang patay si Simon sa pinagsasabi mo. Athena said kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.
Watch your words Athena. I said to her at ngumiti siya at nag peace sign saakin. But to be honest bangui windmills doesn't really have a lot of happy memories because just like what kuya Sandro said, I just go there whenever I am going through something because bangui windmills is my safe haven and not just the place but also the person I am with there. I said to them.
Happy that you finally had shared something about that place. Kuya Sandro said to me. I don't really talk about bangui windmills kase everytime they would ask me I would just change the topic.
So that means, Simon is your safe haven? Athena asked me. I know she is serious asking me that question because she is really curious about me and simon although I am telling her some things about us na naman.
Sort of. I shortly answered them.
Can you elaborate that sort of? Kuya Sandro asked me. He is also curious about it and I know that kase siya yung mata at tenga ni Simon dito
Let us not talk about that. If there is someone who must hear the answer to that question it should be Simon. I said to them.
Ang daya mo naman Sunny. Of all the things that you have said, eto yung pinaka importante and interesting tapos hindi mo sasagutin? Reklamong sabi ni Athena saakin.
Don't be makulit Athena. Let us just give her that privacy. Kuya Sandro told her kaya she sighed heavily and forced a smile.
Fine! I understand. She said.
Lets go there after lunch or maybe doon na lang tayo mag lunch. Parang picnic lunch if you want. I said to them.
That sounds nice. Kuya Sandro said.
Yeah! Lets do that. Athena also said.
I'll cook food for us to bring later. I said to them.
That sounds much better. Athena said.
No wonder. Matakaw ka eh! Kuya sandro said to her and Athena just glared at him.
Stop that. Magaasaran na naman kayo. I said to them. Eto kanseng kuya Sandro na to laging inaasar si Athena.
Eh! Yang Sandro kase na yan. Athena said. Inis na inis na siya kay kuya Sandro.
I said stop it already. Kuya Sandro din naman kase wag mo nang asarin. I said to them kaya binelatan ni Athena si kuya Sandro. Para silang mga bata. Ganyan yan sila minsan parang aso't pusa. Akala mo magjowang nagaaway.
Masarap ka kaseng asarin because you're pikon. Kuya Sandro said to Athena. Tunignan na naman siya ng masama ni Athena.
Stop it na kuya. Get ready na lang and I'll cook already. I said to them and nagsialisan na silang dalawa papunta mga kwarto nila pero etong si Athena sinasamaan pa din ng tingin si kuya Sandro.

Nagluto na ako and after that nilagay ko na sa containers and prepared the picnic basket but before putting it all inside I took a photo if it. I just wanted to send it to Simon later. Since I have communication with him, I would update him by myself. After preparing all the foods nagready na ako ng sarili ko and bumaba na. Nakita ko sila na naghihinta sa living room na nagtatawanan. Kanina mukhang aso't pusa tapos ngayon nagtatawanan na.

Tara na? I asked them.
Lets go. Ako na bibitbit ng picnic basket. Kuya Sandro said to me.
Okay! Everyting is ready na naman jan. I said to him and he just nodded.
Tara na! Excited na ako. Athena said.
Ikaw na mag drive kuya Sands. I said to him.
No problem. He answered.

Sumakay na kame sa car ko. Si kuya Sandro ang nag drive, Si athena sa shotgun and ako sa backseat. Since medyo malayo ng konti ang byahe, I decided to message Simon already.

"Hi! My moon. I am with Athena and kuya Sandro right now. We are going to Bangui Windmills. Don't worry, I don't have any problems. I just wanted to visit there because as what you have said to me, remember the happy memories. You seen the photo? I cooked for us because we are going to have picnic lunch there. They are going back to Manila na kase tomorrow and I am planning to stay here in Ilocos becuase I wanted to visit the places we use to go before and relax a little bit before my internship starts. I'll send you pictures of us later. I miss you my moon"

That was the message I sent him along with the photo of the food I cooked.

Why are you smiling back there? Athena saddenly asked me. Nagulat ako dun ah! I didn't realize I was smiling na pala while messaging Simon.
Your texting with someone? Kuya Sandro said while he peeks on the rear view mirror.
N-nothing just looking at some photos of us. I said to them. Palusot malala Sunny.
Okay but sounds fishy right Athena. Kuya sandro said and tumango lang si Athena.

Hindi na lang ako nagsalita ukit. I put my phone away and closed my eyes para iwas na sa tanong nila. I am happy that I can atleast share to Simon what is going on to my life personally. I hope that I could have the chance to be with him naman sa places na parati naming pinupuntahan dati.
