12:57pmme and the man who later identified as thomas was quickly rushed to the hospital. the medics were doing their best to keep my breathing steady and for me to stay awake.
it took about 10 minutes to get into the hospital room and put me in a bed. the man ended up dying on the way because his injuries was to severe. i thanked god for letting me live. my leg was fucked up pretty bad and the medics did they best to stop the bleeding.
they did everything they could in order to save my life. an hour later after all the glass was out and the bleeding stopped my husband elijah came.
"where's amanda?" i asked him worried.
"i call kayla over to watch her. i didn't want her to see you like this" he walked over to me and sat down beside me, holding my hand and kissing it.
"how did this happen?" he asked. a tear fell down my cheek. i was still in so much pain and my body ached like crazy.
"I was driving to the store when the guy came out of nowhere and ends up hitting my car, totaling it" i shook my head in distraught. it was a very scary moment to go through. a minute later the doctor came in.
"hello mrs smith. the injuries you have suffered will be fine. just take it easy. unfortunately we have some bad news" my heart pounded. what could the bad news be?
"what is it?" I asked him. my voice was shaky.
"your injuries were so bad it caused some damage to your fallopian tubes. because of the severe injuries caused to them, you won't be able to produce any kids"
my heart sank. could this day possibly get any worse? no more kids? i wanted to at least share one with elijah but now that's not possible. how devastating.
"the car accident caused me to not have no more kids for good?"
"i'm afraid so. i'm so sorry mrs smith. i wish you nothing but the best. i'll check soon with you in a half hour" he walked out the room closing the door.
i looked over at my husband and immediately broke down. he kissed my hand and said nothing, which was good for me because i really didn't feel like talking and i knew he could sense that.
he stayed in the hospital with me until i was ready to leave and go home. i had to pay the hospital bill it wasn't cheap but i could afford it.
i was dismissed to go but told i needed bed rest and to keep my leg off from walking as much as possible. it was hard to do since i'm always on my feet but i knew it was best to stay off of it. it wasn't broken but it was still in pain from the glass being pulled out and what damage it had done.
kayla was sitting on the couch feeding amanda some food and water. i smiled and thanked her.
"girl, i'm so sorry that you have to go through this. how are you feeling?"
"in pain but it's all good. i'll get through it"i came home in some comfortable clothes that elijah had bought me. i am forever grateful for him.
"you're a fighter luna. you got that from your mama" she hugged me and walked out. thinking about my mama almost made me want to cry but i remembered her words. don't mourn me, just remember me.
i love you to the moon and back mama... god bless you.
