it's been a year since chrissy left. i'm still in contact with everyone i've been close to. amanda is now three and i am in my early 20's. i've been through some tough shit as y'all know of but we know ima fighter just like my mama and pulled through as always. me and elijah stilled married and have been loving the same just as we have been these past two years of marriage.
time flies by so quickly. me and kayla still hang out and keep in touch. we both heard from chrissy and she said she coming to visit us in a couple of weeks. we're both excited to see her because it's been a whole year and we can't wait to party our asses off once she arrives.
in the meantime me and kayla went to the bar and have a few drinks and talk about our lives.
"girl you gotta get into that dating life i'm telling youuu" i told her sipping my beer. she shook her head and winced.
"aah, i don't know luna. ion think the dating life is for me"
"why don't you just give it a try?"
"sometimes i get scared trying. scared if heartbreak is my main reason. that's why ya girls been single the whole time you knew me" kayla shrugged. she really was stubborn but i wish she'd be happy in a relationship for the first time. she's had boyfriends before she told me and chrissy herself. she's just scared of the pain they put her through and i know exactly how she feels.
"it's not just that, luna. i need to tell you something" her body faced mines now so i knew it was finna get serious.
"im not into guys luna. im into girls. i just find them so hot and attractive" she smiled to herself. i accepted her for who she was because she been through it all with me so now ima be here for her and accept her as a friend.
i rested my hand on her thigh. "it's okay. you don't need to feel nervous" she smiled kindly at me and i smiled back.
"thank you for coming out to me" i added.
"i've been hiding it for some time now but since me and you are so close i felt comfortable telling you about it. i'm so glad you've accepted me" she pulled me in for a hug and i hugged back.
"of course! at the end of the day we're all human and should be treated with respect. and as a friend, i respect you"
"i'm so glad to hear that" we sipped some more on our beers before leaving.
