this is a slow train anyway, and it has slowed some more for the curve. jackson is the only passenger left, and the next stop is about twenty miles ahead. jackson has been a friend of mine for the past year and he is a really sweet person. he even has a wife and kids of his own! we went onto a plane together to get on our way to work, it's how we met in the first place.
it was rush hour so i'm sure he'd understand. besides me and jackson are hardly ever late to work now and never gotten in trouble so he'll be reasonable about it im sure.
once we arrived at work it seemed that we were only 10 minutes later. in our eyes it's not so bad but we'll see how the boss takes it.
"hopefully he'll understand" jackson said as we walked to our offices. his office was right next to mine and we met on our lunch break.
my boss came up to us and i could feel my heart begin to pound faster.
"you're late" the boss said with a mono tone. he looked annoyed and folded his arms over his chest, looking at the two of us.
"i expected better from you, luna. especially you" my boss said. i could feel myself about to lose it any minute.
"i woke up late this morning and had to get on the train i am so very sorry, boss. it won't happen again" i was beginning to ramble at this point.
damn it luna just shut up already!

my voice was now hushed and i could feel tears run down my face. why did i have to be so sensitive. i can't cry every time my boss or somebody else goes off on me!
jackson touched shoulder to make me feel a bit better. i wiped a falling tears away with my hand and looked back up at my boss. he sighed.
"just get to your office and don't let it happen again. you too, jackson" he walked off and we ands our way to the office to catch up on some work. great.
