I grumble to myself as I make my way towards Theo and Mason's apartment.

I've been texting Theo all day but something seems a little off about him.

He's been a little withdrawn lately and I'm trying not to worry too much about it.

I don't expect him to want to spend every second of the day with me but I also don't want to get too distant. I already haven't seen him in 4 days and that's sort of weird now. But it reminds me of that time it happened close to when we first met.

He at least calls me when he can't see me.

Oh man, I hope he's okay.

I understand that he needs space to do his manly things. Like watch football and drink beer and play video games with Mason. Well, when they aren't fighting.

I sigh when I see his front door wide open and his keys in the key hole.
Both him and Mason have fallen into the habit of doing that because they only have one neighbor with them on this floor. It's dangerous but then again, it isn't my apartment. I guess it's a lot more safer than it seems, this place is heavily guarded and rightfully so. They have so many valuable things just sitting around this property for absolutely no reason at all.

I jiggle the keys in the door absentmindedly, closing it behind me.

"Theodore, what did I tell you about leaving your keys in the door?"
I call out, setting my purse on the couch.

I'm met with the immediate sound of a door slamming closed.

I sigh, making my way to his room.

"...Honey?"
I clear my throat, knocking.

"What are you doing here?"
Comes a muffled reply from the bathroom.

I hesitate, slowly walking in. His room is a mess and there's a hole in the wall. I immediately cringe. Him and Mason must have gotten into it again.

"What's wrong? Since when was it a problem that I come over?"
I ask nervously.

"No no, I didn't mean it like that!"
He says immediately, his voice all weird.

Silence.

"You know how I told you I wanted to keep a few things private? Well this is one of those times."
He adds.

I frown, hovering by the door.

"...Is there anything I can do to help? Do you want me to get started on cleaning your room or anything?"

Silence.

I can't help but feel a little down. I feel like I haven't seen him in forever and I kind of needed a hug after the long day I had.

"Ayah, I don't want you to see me like this."
He growls.

"Well, alright then."
I don't even try to hide my disappointment.

"I hope you aren't frowning."
He says quietly.

I roll my eyes.

"No, I'm leaving. I know when I'm not wanted around."
I mutter, turning.

"Baby-"

I just close the door quietly, grabbing my bag on my way out.

My phone starts ringing the minute I step outside but I decide not to answer it until I'm in my car.

"Come back in."
He says immediately.
