{Ayah}
"Ayah, this is my roommate Theo."
I smile politely at the scowling man, not making a move to shake his hand like I usually do when I meet a friend of Mason.
He looks like he'd rip my arm off even if his arms weren't full.
"Ah, so this is the little sister. Hey, it's nice to meet you."
He says gruffly, effortlessly tossing down the big box."Likewise. Mason didn't tell me that he was friends with military men."
I hesitate to say, my eyes glued to his muscles. They are very...prominent to say the least.
"He was in the army, doofus."
Mason coughs."You don't say."
I mutter when he catches me staring at his muscles."Those are nice."
I say politely, ignoring Mason snickering beside me."Thanks. You're the one who's supposed to be decorating and stuff?"
He has yet to blink."Yep. Don't worry, I won't make it too girly or anything."
I hurry to assure him.He narrows his eyes.
I look away and try not to show how bothered I am by this man.
First of all, who hurt him?
He looks like he runs through brick walls for fun.
"I have a 75 inch I'd like to add in the living room. Don't break it."
He growls, shuffling past me."Where in the hell did you get a 75 inch tv from, Theo?"
I look between Mason and the man incredulously.
Wait a minute, how can he be so casual around him?
I suppose this is probably what he was trying to tell me about at the bar.
It all starts to make sense. I had an uncle who went off to serve in the military when I was 12.
He served 6 years and came back a changed man.
I've always been a little curious about what any of the Forces do when there aren't any threats.
My uncle told me that they trained a lot and it involved a lot of grown men yelling in your face.
Yeah, no thank you.
"That's for me to know and you to never find out."
Theo says, shuffling out of the room.Mason turns and grins.
"He's so great, huh?"
I just stand there.
He rolls his eyes.
"You just have to get used to him a little bit-"
