{Ayah}

I hear him cursing loudly on the other side when I press my ear up against the bathroom door.

He just got off work and hasn't said a word to me.

I am still standing there when he opens the door.

He seems a little startled.

"You mad at me, baby?"

He rolls his eyes.

"No but I do think you're a little annoying."

I bite my lip.

"That isn't very nice, is it?"
I raise an eyebrow.

He hesitates.

"No. But so what?"

"So you don't want to talk?"
I ask just to make sure.

He just folds his arms.

I take a step back and clear my throat.

"I guess I can just give one of these magic movie tickets to someone else-"

"Magic mov...Wait, you got Doctor Strange tickets?"

I hold my breath. I knew he'd be interested.

"Yes but one is for a nice boyfriend."
I fold my arms behind my back.

He forces a smile.

"I'm nice to you and I'm your boyfriend, let me see."

I hold them up reluctantly.

"Cool, IMAX."
He mutters, grabbing them.

"We don't have to talk."
I say softly, watching him smile awkwardly.

"I hope you understand that it's not because I want to keep things from you. I'm just irritated and talking about it will make it worse."
He averts his gaze.

"I know, handsome. Get your shoes and meet me and Mason downstairs, the movie should put you in a better mood."
I smile slowly.

His shoulders lower slowly.

"Okay, baby girl."

I just bite my lip and quietly slip out of the room.

I absolutely love it when he calls me that. Or anything, really.

I love being his girlfriend.

They are both quiet on the way out of the movie theatre.

"So. That Wanda girl sure was something else, huh?"
I ask awkwardly.

I had no idea what was going on.
