{Theo}

I lean against my desk and stare at the presents on my bed.

Oh man, I feel absolutely terrible.

The necklace I got her is nothing in comparison to the sleek watch she got me.

She sits on the edge of my bed, quietly admiring her gift.

"I didn't know why you feel bad, Theo. I love it."
She says, smiling.

I blink slowly, the cool metal of the watch messing up my train of thought. Oh man, it just feels expensive.

I can't help but get a little happy about it. It may be the nicest thing I've ever gotten for Christmas.

"Basko got you a dartboard."
She nods towards the poorly wrapped gift.

I smile reluctantly.

I knew he had me for secret Santa.

"Where do you think I should put it?"
I look around.

She stands up slowly, taking a step by the door.

I watch amusedly as she looks around.

"Probably close to your bed so that you can easily grab one and throw it at an intruder...you know, since you like stuff like that."

I pause, raising an eyebrow.

I...don't even know how to respond to that.

"You think I like hurting people?"

She frowns.

"Don't you go to that boxing ring Mason won't let me go to on Wednesdays?"

I didn't think she knew about that.

Hmm.

"Well yeah, but that's just boxing. It's like a sport so when people get hurt doesn't count."
I say after very careful consideration.

She folds her arms.

I sigh.

She looks so cute in her little Santa hat.

She's just always so...positive about everything. It's kind of nice to see the way she expresses herself sometimes, she does it so easily compared to Mason.

Who is a completely different subject, he is completely off the rails now compared to back in high school.

It's like he does reckless things but never seems affected by the outcome and it's a dangerous way of thinking.

I try not to worry about it too much at the moment though, he's got his plate full with his girlfriends. At this point I'm starting to think they all know about each other.

I hold my wrist up, admiring my new watch absentmindedly.

My old man used to have a big ole grey watch. It was bulky and a bit oddly shaped compared to the ones nowadays but I always liked it.

...Wait a minute, how was she able to get me a gift even I didn't know I wanted?

She is so thoughtful.
