I met Mason Carmichael on January 29th, 2020.
I actually met him on the side of the freeway, when he stopped and helped me change my tire.
Well actually not my tire, I was helping my sister move and was driving her husband's very large truck.
"You look like you need help."
He walked up in his fancy dress shoes with an arrogant smile. It's as if it was an everyday thing for him, how casual he was about the cars zooming past us.
Personally, it bothered me a lot.
I just wanted to be in my bed at that point.
I put my hands on my hips and scowled.
That was one of the main reasons why I don't like going out much, people talk to me.
"What, just because I'm a woman, I need help fixing a damn tire?"
Maybe I was a little rude.
He didn't seem to mind at all, which I also found irritating.
I don't remember really wanting him to leave. Truthfully, I didn't care what he did, I was more focused on that stupid tire.
It had been 4 hours and I'd been driving back and forth from Forest Acres all the way to Remington Fields.
That's a 30 minute drive, roughly.I did know how to change a tire.
My problem was getting the spare from under the truck.
"Hey, I have no doubt that you can do whatever you put your mind to. I guess I'll just be minding my business over here in case you happen to need anything."
He folded his arms and leaned against the truck to watch the cars.Really!
The audacity of that lunatic.
I grunted and grumbled for almost 30 minutes before he spoke up.
"My name is Mason Carmichael."
Who the hell asked?
"Cool."
I muttered, reluctantly getting on my knees on the wet ground. He bent down after me.
"You know you can't just screw it off like a bottle cap, right?"
I turned and squinted.
"What are you talking about?"
He didn't answer, he just disappeared.
Before I could even blink, I heard a click and then the heavy tire almost ended my life.
As it turns out, there is a button that you press to release the spare.
I guess you learn something new every day.
Anyway, I almost blew up at him.
"You almost injured me, are you out of your mind!?"
The cars flying by on the freeway was the last of my concern at that point.
He just shrugged and checked his watch.
"Nah, just high as hell. You on the other hand, wasted 30 minutes trying to unscrew a tire."
He pointed out.And then he smirked.

Romance"Ayah, this is my roommate, Theo." I smile politely at the scowling man, not making a move to shake his hand like I usually do when I meet a friend of Mason. He looks like he'd rip my arm off even if his arms weren't full. "Ah, so this is the little...
