I just stare as she eats her pancakes.

I've only been gone for about 2 weeks but it feels like way longer.

Her hair is different again, all fluffy and clouding her face.

God, I can't stop thinking about running my fingers through it.

It's definitely been a long week for me.

"Stop staring at her."
Mason teases, looking between the both of us amusedly.

Ayah, on the other hand, is acting completely oblivious as she scrolls through her phone.

I can't believe that she likes me.

Oh man, she's so beautiful.

"I can't help it."
I sigh, resting my elbows on the table.

She still refuses to look at me.

"I told her I'd try to work on being nicer."
I inform Mason.

He frowns.

"You are nice!"

"Are you serious? He almost broke your nose last month because you didn't do the dishes."
She reminds him.

I scowl, folding my arms.

She just won't give that up.

I tap her foot gently under the table.

It was Mason's idea to come to Dennys.

She loves Dennys and she's been grumpy all morning.

"I've been up since 4."
She told me earlier.

I am very excited even though it's been a little awkward.

I just need a little time.

"I'm not just going to go away, Ayah."
I say quietly, my plate of waffles completely forgotten as she slowly looks up.

"I know. But it would help if you'd look somewhere else."
She complains.

"Why? I want to look at you."
I say simply.

"There's got to be something more interesting to look at for at least 3 minutes."

I don't blink.

"Not a single thing."

I fold my arms and lean back in my chair.

"Okay, Theo."
She sighs.

I bite my lip, staring down at my waffles reluctantly.

Oh man, I have so much to think about.

I'm pretty sure I can handle dates, but what about everything else? Because I already know that I'll be putty in her hands the minute we start having sex.
Just the idea of that is too intimate for me.

Do women still like for men to open the door for them? I don't see it very often.

I make a mental note to ask Mason later.

I look up slowly as she nudges my foot with hers under the table.

"Wow, I've never seen 2 people look so miserable."
Mason is very amused.
