Season 1 Episode 1 - and then there was Gwen

Somewhere above the earth, a battle is happening, a battle between a Uxorite and the big bad of vilgax. As vilgax continues to shoot at the ship, it returns fire and is able to hit vilgax's ship, sending the Chimera Sui Generis back, breaking off parts of his body as his ship gives one last shot that severely damages the ship. The ship shooting something off to earth, vilgax's ship not being too far behind in shooting out a drone. However, a few hours earlier Gwen was just leaving her school. Getting into her grandfather's RV. The Rustbucket.

Max: Haya pumpkin, you ready for the road trip to end all road trips?

Gwen: getting to see all the monuments of America, this should be a blast. Not to mention I'll be hundreds of miles away from that dweeb.

Max: about that.

They pull up outside of her cousin's school and when she looks outside, she finds that he was being hung on a tree by his underwear and she looked away, embarrassed to be even related to him. Max went out and helped Ben down and when Ben entered the rustbucket and he saw Gwen he yelled...

Ben: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!

Gwen: I don't want you to be here either.

Ben: I thought that this was going to be a rip just between the two of us. Grandpa and grandson.

Max: come on, you used to be so close to her.

Ben: I was 5.

Gwen: oh, just cool it, dweeb.

Ben: why don't you do it first dufus?

The two just glare at each other as the trio got to the outskirts of the city and eventually reached the campsite in Yosemite by nightfall where when setting up camp for the night, Gwen spotted Ben playing on some kind of games console, meanwhile max and her where setting everything up.

Gwen: care to lend us a hand?

Ben: not really, you've got this. Since you wanted to come along on my road trip.

Gwen: you're road trip? This was supposed to be my road trip.

Ben: whatever you say.

Gwen: will you for once just do something?

Ben: not with that attitude.

Gwen just groans as she walks off into the forest.

Max: where are you going, Gwen?

Gwen: away from him.

She continues to walk off into the woods, mumbling to herself about something and as she walked deeper into the forest, she found herself in a clearing.

Gwen: He never thinks about anybody else.

She takes a deep breath.

Gwen: come on Gwen, just take a deep breath and just look up.

She looks up and spots the beauty of the starry night-time sky, something she had rarely ever seen in her home town of Bellwood and she even spotted a shooting star. However, as she watched the shooting star she noticed that it immediately changed trajectory and it started shooting down. She ran as fast as she could and as she dodged to the left, she spotted something crash land.

Gwen: I should go and tell someone. On the other hand, it could be a satellite or something.

She continued to argue with herself until she spots a green glow coming from the crater and she walked over. As she leaned over the cliff, the ground gave way and she fell into the crater, and she looked at the object.
