Episode 11: just an average adventure

We start with Gwen and Emily sitting in class both of them, along with the rest of the class, taking a test. Gwen wasn't paying too much attention to the test; she knew she is facing the test. Instead, she was focused on just looking out the window, she fully expected something bad to happen in the next 5 minutes, something to explode or for a villain to come into town to announce their presence, but so far nothing. Bellwood had just been quite for a few days now. Had the bad guys just decided to leave? It was distracting her, but as the bell rang, she handed the test Emily asked her just what was up with her.

Gwen: I don't know, it's just like all the bad guys decided to leave town at once.

Emily: maybe there all on vacation or something. Any word from Elena?

Gwen: nothing, her dad says she ran away from home, but has no idea where she went.

Gwen looked down at her omnitrix.

Gwen: maybe I should skip English class and go looking for her as XLR8.

Emily: I could cover for you for a little bit.

Gwen: you're the best.

She ran into the girl's toilet and came out of it as XLR8, Emily giving a longing look, wishing to go back to the simpler days where the pair could just hand out. Gwen however was on a mission, and she made sure to run around Bellwood the fastest she could, time seemed to freeze as she ran around. She saw people just living their best lives. Couples on date, parents out with their children and even just random people in the park. That's where she skidded to a stop. She sat down on a bench next to a random person.

Gwen: I don't suppose you've seen a girl with spikes coming out of her head, her skins like this dark blue and she has these blue patterns on her?

She asked with her tail getting trapped under another person who sat down on the bench.

Rando: weird you say that she ran past not just a few minutes ago.

Gwen: witch way did she go?

The person pointed to the far side of town, the part that was mostly done with construction and she ran off, after getting her tail unstuck. As she ran into the almost completely constructed part of town, she saw that people where almost oblivious to her, until a few people pointed out that XLR8 was rushing through the town. She gave a nervous wave as she searched every corner, under every bench, and anywhere she could. However, she would eventually have to time out and as she did so in a back ally, meaning nobody could see her.

Gwen: great, guess I'll wait until I time in to get back to school.

She shook her head and walked out of the alleyway. Once exited she accidentally bumped into someone.

Gwen: sorry sir, I wasn't watching where I was going.

Max: it's quite all right. Shouldn't you be in school anyway?

Gwen froze up as she tried to come up with an excuse.

Gwen: my... ugh... my mom's sick today and my dad can't take the day off of work. She's scared of me spreading it to the whole school.

The man just shrugged his shoulders, and he walked off, letting Gwen wipe the bead of fearful sweat off of her head. She looked back down at the omnitrix and saw it was in red. She just shrugged and got back to walking through the still under construction city just started thinking about what to do next. For once Bellwood is just calm. And then her phone went off. On the other end she found it was Jonesy.

Gwen: Jonesy?

Jonesy: I've found Elena.

Gwen: where is she?
