Gwen 10

Episode 4 - permanent retirement

We start with the duo of ben and Gwen inside of a gas station looking for something cold to try and fight off the immense heat of the desert they found themselves in while grandpa max refuled the rustbucket.

Gwen: I'm feeling like some vanilla.

Ben: really, just vanilla? Not even something like mint?

Gwen: just not in the mood for anything, it's too hot to think about this.

Ben: haven't you been really close to a fire a few times?

Gwen just told him to cut it out as they heard something from outside. As they looked outside, they spotted a group of people trying to pull an ATM off of the wall and the pair looked at each other as Gwen ran into the bathroom. And after a quick flash of pink, she turns into the black with pink circuitry patters, living Technologie that ben had called upgrade. She slipped under the door and she managed to sneak outside, she merged with one of their bikes and she rammed it into two of the people before exiting from the motorbike and staring the remaining person down. The remaining thug threw a chain at her with Gwen grabbing the chain, wrapping it around her arm and bringing the thug in close, punching him into the ground as ben called the police and max walked over.

Max: good job...uh...

Gwen: upgrade.

Max: really, upgrade?

Gwen: he came up with it.

She then falls down into some kind of liquid and she goes inside the rustbucket, ben grabbing some ice-cream and getting in. Gwen timing out as they hit the road.

Ben: that was awesome, I just wish I could join in.

Gwen: too bad you don't have this thing.

Ben: maybe in some other universe I do.

Gwen: you have no idea.

Ben looks at her in confusion as she tried to change the subject.

Gwen: so where are we going grandpa max?

Max: we're going to visit your aunt vera.

Ben: can't we do something more existing. Like finding me a weapon so I can join in on the fights.

Max: it's not going to be that bad ben.

As they drive into town, Gwen found herself glued to her laptop as she was researching any alien sightings, trying to figure out what more she could about her omnitrix, knowing something from her time in the multiverse battle but not enough to be happy with it. meanwhile ben looked out of the window, trying to find something to do. Noticing something out of the ordinary, whatever counted as ordinary anymore. He spotted something in the shadows and someone else walking into them. Their eyes glowing once they walked into the shadows.

Ben: did you just see that?

Gwen: what are you on about?

Ben: that guy's eyes just lit up.

Gwen: I think your brains just playing tricks on you. Assuming you have one up there.

Ben: I might not be greymatter but I know what I saw.

Max: do you two want to quiet it down back there? We're here.

The group got out of the rustbucket with Vira walking towards them. As she got in close to ben and Gwen, she squeezed their cheeks as both of them rubbed them in pain.

Vera: it's so good to see both of you again. You've both grown so much since I last saw you.

Ben: it was only 4 months ago aunt vera.
