Episode 7: the king's last stand

We start our adventure with Ben, Gwen, Max and Lucy in the rust bucket. The tension is thick enough to be cut with a sword.

Max: What's wrong you two? You're never usually this quiet.

Ben: It's just Elena.

Max: I haven't seen her in a while. Is she ok?

Gwen: We have no idea. She just kind of walked off.

Ben: She was acting super weird all of yesterday. She was clingy, argumentative, overconfident, just the complete opposite of who she normally is.

Max: Sounds like the pressure's getting to her.

Gwen: What do you mean?

Max: You two were practically made to be heroes, but she was given it through chips that might be eating her away or something.

Ben: Maybe I was a little too direct with her.

Gwen: I never thought I'd see you taking this kind of stuff seriously. I thought you would've just thrown it off as girl problems.

Ben: Maybe I would've if it was you, but this is Elena. You saw the future. I know she makes it there, but she still has the chips to worry about.

Gwen: And I'm supposed to get with Kevin, which isn't happening.

Lucy looked from the front seat back to her.

Gwen: Oh, come on Lucy, you got me one time.

Ben: I just want to make sure she makes it to the future. Ok?

Gwen took a deep breath and placed her hand on Ben's shoulder.

Gwen: You know if you need to talk, you've got family for that.

Ben: Trust me I know, Grandma Verdona keeps asking to learn more about our lives since she wasn't here for it.

Max: You're getting relationship advice from Verdona?

Ben: Is that a bad thing?

Max: Well...

Before he could finish, they came to a stop.

Ben: What's going on?

Max just rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

Max: I swear if this place gets broken into one more time...

Ben and Gwen ran up to the front of the RV to see the MT Rushmore base had been broken into the door having been forcibly opened enough for two people to step inside.

Gwen: I'll get XLR8 ready.

She activated the Omnitrix and slammed down on it, finding herself a stink fly.

Gwen: woah, been a minute since I've used this gal.

Max: You two go inside and see what you can get from whoever's broken in this time. Then come and get me and Lucy.

Gwen: What will you both be doing?

Max: trying to get the stink of stink fly out of my carpet. Your eye stalks are leaking again.

Gwen closed her eye stalks and made her way outside. Ben follows with his hoverboard. Both of them head inside.

Ben: Good thing the mask can block out all that stink.

Gwen: Now I'm starting to remember why I don't use this one much anymore.

The pair came to a monitor and found Dr. Viktor and Driscoll moving through the facility, Dr. Viktor striking the few plumbers who were still in the base. Dr. Victor then electrocuted the monitor.
