7 years later, Emily has grown up into a beautiful and talented young woman and continues to dance throughout her teenage years. With the help and support from Sky, Emily has entered in dance competitions throughout her journey and has won loads of trophies through the years.

For the solo performance, Emily is given hip-hop and for duet, she is given contemporary, which she will perform with Sky, as her dance partner.

Just 3 weeks before the Regionals Competition, Emily practice her dance routine hard and is focus on them since. 3 weeks later, it's Regionals and Emily is getting ready for her duet performance with Sky. For the duet performance, Emily and Sky perform the rumba to Endless Love by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross.

After their performance, Emily and Sky pose as the song ends, and everyone applause for them, including Scott and Paige, who are backstage with Julie and Gen. Emily and Sky embrace and walks offstage together. "Well done, Em! You did great!", Sky smiled, as he and Emily walks backstage, where they are greeted by Scott, Paige and Emily's friends.

"Well done!", Paige cried, hugging Emily. "Dad! How was I?", Emily asked. "Honey, I'm so proud of you and I hope you'll win both of this.", Scott smiled. "Thanks, Dad.", Emily smiled, as she heads back to the dressing room to change for her solo performance.

After few dance performance, Emily comes out of her dressing, room, wearing her next costume for the solo routine. Before she was called in, Sky give her final advice before she goes out. "You're ready for this?", Sky asked. "I guess so.", Emily sighed, as the announcer calls out her name.

"Next up, dancing the hip-hop, it's Emily Taylor!", the announcer called out as everyone cheers on and Emily takes a deep breath and walks out onstage. Emily gets into position as the song, One Last Time by Ariana Grande plays, and Emily starts to dance.

Emily focus hard and tries to nail every single move in front of the judges. Things is going great for Emily, as she prepares to make a huge spin, but however, as she does the spin, her lower back tore, causing Emily to fall and cry in excruciating pain. Everyone in the crowd gasp in shock, while behind the curtains, Scott, Paige, Sky and Emily's friends are shock too.

Without hesitation, Sky runs out onstage and rushes to Emily's aid. The announcer also rushes to Emily's aid and called out for a medic. Scott attempts to get to his daughter, but Paige stops him. The medic arrives and rushes to Emily, examining her back, while Emily let out a scream. "SKY!", Emily screamed from the top of her lungs, pleading Sky for help.

Minutes later, an ambulance is called and paramedics put Emily on a stretcher and then into the ambo, which takes her to the local hospital. Scott hopped into the ambo to be with Emily, as they drive off to the hospital. Upon arrival, Emily is sent to get a X-ray and Scott waits outside, before the others arrive.

Emily's doctor, Dr Choi examines Emily's X-ray and sees the cause of lower back pain. He comes out to inform Emily's family. "Dr Choi! How's my daughter?", Scott asked. "Mr Taylor, your daughter is fine, but there's some bad news.", Dr Choi replied, as everyone looks at him. "What?", Sky asked.

"There's an injury lower down to her spinal cord and it could lead to paralysation.", Dr Choi sighed. Everyone gasp in shock by the news. "Paralysed?!", Paige asked. "Yes.", Dr Choi replied. "Permanently? Will that cause her ending career of dancing?", Scott asked.

"No, it's only temporarily. An injury like this will last for about a year, so it's not an ending career.", Dr Choi smiled. "What happens now?", Sky asked. "Well, the healing process will take some time, so best for Emily to rest from dancing for a year, and I recommend for you to find her a good physical therapist to help her recovery.", Dr Choi replied.

"Ok, thank you, Dr Choi.", Scott sighed, shaking Dr Choi's hand. "You're welcome.", Dr Choi smiled. "Can we see her?", Sky asked. "Yes, but one at a time, because she's unconscious at the moment, so maybe start with family.", Dr Choi replied.

Scott, Sky and Paige goes into Emily's room and sees her, lying there, unconscious with a head brace on her head. Scott is devastated by the site of his daughter and seeing how badly hurt she is. Sky and Paige comforts him as he's in tears. Scott then sat down by her bedside and held her hand in his, tight.

Moments later, Emily wakes up which catches Scott, Sky and Paige's attentions. "Emily!", Scott cried, as he goes to her. "What happened, where am I?", Emily asked. "You're at the hospital, you had an accident.". Scott sighed. "What kind of accident?", Emily asked. However, Scott, Sky and Paige has no idea how to explain, which left Emily confused.

Emily looks around, and realise she's a head brace and have no feeling in her legs. "Dad, I can't feel my legs!", Emily cried, as she remove the blanket that covers her legs and touches one with her fingers, and can't feel the touch. She realise that she's paralysed. "What's happened to me?!", Emily cried. "You have to tell her, Scott!", Paige cried.

"Em, you tore your lower back on the dance floor and you tore it so bad that it's left you paralysed.", Scott sighed. "Am I going to be like this forever, am I going to stop dancing?", Emily cried.

"No, sweetheart, you're not. It's only temporarily and you will recover from this. I'll find the best physical therapist, who will help you and once you recover, you will return from dancing and it'll some dedication and it'll take some time.", Scott sighed. Emily nods, knowing that she's not going to be paralysed for the rest of her life and that her dancing career isn't over.

"Come on, you need some rest. Just lie down, put on the covers and close your eyes.", Scott sighed, covering her with the blanket. "Goodnight, Dad.", Emily sighed, closing her eyes. "Goodnight, sweetheart.", Scott sighed, kissing her forehead.

Scott and Paige leaves the room, and Sky follows them behind, but Emily stops him. "Uncle Sky?", Emily asked. Sky turns around and goes back to Emily. "Yes, what is it?", Sky asked. "I'm so sorry that I let you down.", Emily cried.

"Emily, there's nothing to be sorry about.", Sky replied. "I know that trophy means so much to you and how much you wanted me to win.", Emily cried. "Em, listen to me. It doesn't matter if you win or not, it matters that you did your best and I'm so proud of you.", Sky sighed. "Well, I didn't win and I failed you.", Emily cried.

"No, you didn't. Come here.", Sky sighed as he hugs Emily, who breaks down in his arms. "You'll be ok, sweetheart. We'll get through this together.", Sky sighed, as he held Emily in his arms. From that day forward, Emily begins with her journey to recovery.
