Laughter and shouting soon filled the cave as Paul and Marko had finally returned with boxes of Chinese food. A small smirk in there eyes as they saw David and Dawn sat next to each other hand and hand without a thought about it. The pair began throwing the takeout containers around knowing who would want what, only stopping to hand dawn the food they got for her.

"We got you Sweet and sour chicken since we didn't know your order."Marko smiled and looked over at David still sorry about the earlier mix up.

"Thank you Marko, you did good its one of my favourites." Everyone began to open their food and dig in, David always looking over to make sure the smile never left his girls face. His girl, he could get used to that.

" So.." Dawn began to speak up in-between bites of food" how long have you all known each other?"

"Forever it feels like, especially with Davids grumpy ass."Paul laughed out while eating an egg roll like an animal.

"Maybe I wouldn't be so grumpy if you two learned to listen?" David smiled and raised an eyebrow.

"What about Dwayne?!" Marko cried out looking mock offended.

Dwayne simply raised an eyebrow as the twins began to crack up laughing while David just shock his head with a soft smile putting his food down to light a smoke. Dawn began to laugh watching the group and couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness in her chest. It must have shown through in her eyes because David looked over at her, playful smile washed away by concern as the boys noticed the change.

"Everything all right sunshine?" David spoke softly inhaling deeply." If the boys are bothering you we can go get some air."

"No!" Dawn spoke up shaking her head" No its not that its just, you all are so close. Really brothers, I've always been an only child and making friends wasn't my strong suit, I guess I'm just a bit jealous of the bound you share. You can tell you all love each other." Everyone just went quiet.

David simply smiled and rubbed her hand. It became clear to the rest of the boys exactly why Dawn was going to be important to all of them, she saw them, really saw them. Not afraid to say out loud what they all knew about each other. David found himself falling deeply enamoured by her, while the others started to view her as family, such honest and open warmth reminded them all of a mother or sister they might have once had so many years ago.

"Listen Dawnie, don't worry we are like that time Paul got crabs, we ain't goin' anywhere!" Marko cracked out laughing once he saw he was able to make her laugh again.

"First of all bitch, they gave me a cream that got rid of them!" Paul Screamed out as he began to fight with Marko on the floor, Chinese food going everywhere.

"So Dawn, tell us about some stuff you like?" Dwayne spoke up nodding over at her, trying to get to know her more seriously.

"Well I like gardening and cooking! Um I paint to, but I don't have as much time for that since I've been running my grandparents veggie stand.." Dawn smiled softly as all the boys were listening intently. " I um I really really love the boardwalk since I've started coming out."

"Well you'll have to cook for us all sometime." David added and then looked at the boys. "Its getting late and while Id love to keep Dawn here all night I should be getting her home." When he saw her blush his smile couldn't help but grow wider.

As they boys lined up to say their goodbyes she felt sad having to leave not only did she find herself sad to leave David, but Paul and Marko with all their play fighting, and the genuine interest Dwayne took in her hobbies. They where making room for her in their bond, making sure that she knew they wanted her to be with their brother that they loved.
