Running a Cult

It had been around a week since Dawn had seen David. She would wonder the boardwalk night after night taking in all the people hoping to find him, surrounded by smoke and wearing the smirk she had grown used to seeing. She often saw the boys, glancing at her with sad looks on their face when she lit up at seeing them. By the time she would make it over to them they would be gone. So she spent her days working with Nathan at The Green Onion and tending to her garden often lost in her thoughts of the night when gathered her courage to kiss that smirk. Enough was enough.

With a determined look on her face Dawn was closing up her shop getting ready to go home and finally figure out exactly what the fuck was going on. Marching up her hill she threw her wagon down and storming into the house. Blasting Blondie Dawn had decided that if she was going to be this bold she was going to look the part. Fluffing up her curls and brushing mascara threw her lashed she was putting on her war paint.

Pulling on a purple wrap skirt that showed off some of her thigh she smiled at herself. It looked amazing paired with her light purple knot top that showed off her figure perfectly. She wanted answers, and if David had been avoiding her for her, she was going to be the most her she could be. Curves, curls, rage and all. Grabbing her jean jacket and throwing on some lip gloss you took off out of her house like a rocket.Jumping on her moped she twisted the key bringing it to life, If David or the boys weren't talking to her on the boardwalk then she was gonna go directly to the source.

With the sea breeze blowing through her hair Dawn approached the boardwalk, it was now or never. Turning up her music she took off on her moped driving on her moped as fast as it would go, swerving through the families through,the friends. A screech echoed out into the night as Dawn zipped past a group of beach blonds unaware or uncaring of Paul and Marko watching.

"Was that just..Dawn?" Paul asked with wide eyes.

"Yup."Marko simply added with a nod.

"She's pissed."Paul was in shock he had seen Dawns rage first hand before, but never like this, never directed at David.

"Yup." His twin just kept nodding.

"Should we go warn David?"He placed a hand on Paul's shoulder.

"Nope." Was all Marko said clearly not happy with having to steer clear of his sister.

And the two watched her drive along the beach as far as they could just simply hoping her rage wouldn't crush David. Pride beamed in each of their chest, she truly looked like one of them,and it scared the shit out of the twins more than Max or David ever could. Nearing Hudson's bluff Dawn didn't slow down or lose determination. Her anger and hurt didn't grow or dissipate as she saw the light that was surly coming from the cave.

As she walked down the stair she didn't falter in speed. She did however stop dead in her tracks when she heard a females laughter. Her breathe caught in her throat, for a second she thought herself naive, stupid even. To assume that her and David where anything but a kiss was foolish,but remembering the piss, the need the want it caused a new fire to burn through her. No matter how hurt she may get she needed to know if he was lying.

Jumping down into the cave Dawn flipped her hair looking at the dancing women in front of her, Dwayne sat facing her as she danced and laughed to the music his back turned to Dawn. As soon as Star saw her she stopped, causing Dwayne to stand up and turn around.

"Dawn, Your not supposed to be here." His voice almost sad looking at her.

"Wait this is Dawn?!"Stars smiled widened rushing over to her grabbing her hand and pulling her deeper into the cave."He wont stop talking about you! David I mean. Maybe now that you're here he wont be in such a shit mood!" Dawn was clearly confused going to open her mouth.

"Star that's enough."Dwayne watched Star like a hawk. "You know why she cant be here."

With a huff star flopped down on the couch.

"Come on dude. It will be fine, shes fine and I was standing right next to her. I just wanna get out of here man." She pleaded to Dwayne who was about to open his mouth when Dawn spoke up.

"Clearly Dwayne I don't know what is going on here, I don't know star, I don't know where David has been, Or you all for that matter you just ditch me or avoid me."She was yelling before long"I thought we were friends! I'm not leaving until David and I talk!" With that final exclamation and a light shove of Dwayne's arm she sat right in Davids wheelchair.

Dwayne simply sat down and shock his head defeated as Star smiled at the scene.

"I've never seen anyone put the guys in there place." She stared wide eyed.

"Well they arn't so tough, not really when you know them." Dawn smiled softly at the girl not mad at her for being here.

Footsteps echoed towards the cave as they sat in silence smoke wafting in before David even stepped foot in the place, Dwayne tried to cough to let him know in anyway that not only was it no longer only vampires but that dawn was in fact here, but it was to late.

"Okay Star this was all the butcher had but it's not gonna feel the same as human."He held up a brown paper bag as he stood in the entrance. As soon as he saw her he dropped the bag and his cigarette fell right out of his mouth. Here she stood, the women who made him feel the most human in years, the women he promised he would never lie to. She was beautiful, and David's face showed Dawn that she picked the right war outfit, he looked almost hungry in the way his eyes traced her body.

"Your not supposed to be here." He spoke out softly seeing the hurt and rage swimming in her eyes.

"Well David you didn't give me much choice in that did you, and what the fuck is that blood? Do you run a fucking cult or something, You think its cool to just kiss girls get them to like you then run off to lead your fucking cult?!" She was pissed and confused this only grew when David start to laugh and smile looking at her.

"I don't run a fucking cult Sunshine" He spoke between laughs

"Sure feels like it."Star huffed watching

"Your not helping."Anyone could tell David was frustrated with the girl

"Not trying to." Raising a hand she flipped him off as she sighed and rubbed his forehead.

"Dwayne watch her." After seeing his brother nod he walked over to Dawn as close as he could get holding out his hand for hers.

"Come with me sunshine and I will tell you everything you want to know."
