(Kohaku's point of view)
"That girl next to Hyoga and his assistant." I started while we three slowly walked back and Senku stopped. He looked at me as if I am talking about something sensitive. "...Is she that friend of yours?" I asked and Senku grinned a little under his mask. "Yes, Lioness. That was the annoying cow." I rolled my eyes annoyedly. "She has a name, Senku." He chuckled and nodded. "It's Y/n." So that was her name, hm? That was a beautiful one. Doesn't exactly sound like a common name. (What she's meaning to say is that your name isn't exactly Japanese :) ) We took our gas masks off, since the animals around us seemed to be doing perfectly fine. But I couldn't help but have this bad feeling...
"I want to go back, Senku..." I put Suika down and turned around. "Bring Suika back to our village. I want to check on the situation here first, ok?" Senku's eyes narrowed, but he still agreed and nodded. "Take care then. You know how the gas masks work, breathe slowly." He remembered me and I nodded with a smile. "Thank you." Suika ran to my direction and handed me her second mask. "Suika and Senku will wait for you, Kohaku!" Suika waved at me and I turned around and waved back with a happy smile. She was fine and that was most important. She really had me worried there earlier. I put my mask on and left them, going back to where Hyoga and his troupe were.
I hid in the woods and observed them from afar through my good eyes. There were people on the ground... and they didn't move. These poor souls were dead for sure... Did they lose grip on the tree trunk and fall to their deaths? Or was there more behind it... Wait. Three people stood on the big branch before. Hyoga, his assistant and Senku's friend Y/n. Where was she?! I climbed up a tree to see who the dead people were. Luckily she wasn't amongst the dead ones. But she didn't have a mask! How did she leave them in this situation??
I looked around to see if I can find something or someone. I ran around the woods, only to hear a slight rustle from afar. I ran to that direction and finally saw her. Her skin was bloody and some branches had even bore themselves into her legs and arms. She weakly tried to crawl away from here and barely kept her eyes open. Was she holding her breath for these whole minutes?? I immediately approached her and put on the second gas mask. "Y/n." I called her, but she didn't budge. Her eyes slowly closed and I panicked. She's dying! "Y/n!! Please!! Hey, don't give up like that now!!" I lifted her up with ease and hurried back to the village as fast as I possibly could.
"Senku!! Guys!! An emergency!!" I screamed as soon as I arrived and Senku was the only one to hear me, since the others were far away. "Y/n?!" Senku hurried to us and put the gas mask away from her face. He placed a finger on the side of her neck. But as soon as he did, his eyes were filled with horror. "P-Put her down, quickly!!" He said and started to shake. I gulped and complied, putting her down. "Y/n, don't you dare give up like this!" He balled one hand and placed the other hand on his fist. Then, he started pumping them on her chest repeatedly. "Hey, you still have plans, idiot!! I don't know what happened but you're ten billion times stronger than that!!"
