"Senku?" I heard a very familiar female voice call my name and opened my eyes. It still was dark outside... As I turned over to the person speaking to me, my eyes captured the features of none other than the annoying cow. I was still lying in the sleeping bag outside, next to Y/n's underground basement and the moon's light faintly illuminated her face, just enough for me to see. She was laying next to me.

I nodded in response and waited for her to continue. "Stop shifting, I can't sleep..." She tiredly spoke in a sleepy and distressed voice. Unbeknownst to her, I couldn't sleep at all. "Then stuff your ears, annoying cow." I annoyedly grunted and threw myself on my pillow again. She was complaining about not sleeping well after she scrambled my mind up with that chat of ours earlier? How audacious of her.

"It's not because of the sound itself. My mind can't help but alert me if it heard something shuffle." She told me and I sighed. God, did she actually start to suffer from paranoia? I felt weird about it. The Hyoga issue must have really had a heavy impact on her mental state. I felt...furious. This spearman succeeded in permanently injuring her mental. And I wanted to pay him back ten billion times for that. The fury I felt didn't make me notice how illogical my thoughts currently were. All I thought about was taking some kind of revenge for Y/n. To make her happy again.

I again turned over to her, being met with her shut eyes. I saw her inner emotions at the very first glance. She took on a comfortable position in her sleeping bag, had her eyes shut so that she'd finally fall asleep, but still looked like she was trying to protect herself. Her position was very defensive. I rose my hand and slowly approached the crack on her right cheek with my fingers. I gently traced it with two fingers, careful to not wake her up. But my subconscious mind was too impatient to wait for her to fully fall asleep...

Instead of her continuing to sleep, I heard her snort a little. "Did you just touch my face as if you were in some kind of romance movie?" She asked with a tired, yet amused voice. I quickly pulled my hand away and she chuckled at that. I embarrassedly avoided her eyes and felt like the night's temperature rose up for around 10°C. My heart also jumped a little when I heard her say that. "There was a bug, you fool. I only took it on my finger." I lied and she giggled a little. "I would have felt if there was a bug."

I turned away from her again, trying to save myself from this awkward situation. Sometimes I really hated her. She often was the cause of me acting out of character like this. I took a deep breath and tried to relax again. "Did you like it? ...You didn't flinch when I touched you." I started. I didn't want to turn over yet. I didn't know why I asked her this so directly and the logical half of my brain was beyond disappointed in me for letting my emotions take over like this. And I was afraid that Y/n thought weird stuff about me. I'm sure that she likes me, but would she also like it if I...

I smirked a little and turned around again, looking at her directly. "You know what? Yes, I did touch your face as if we were in some kind of romance movie. What now? Do you want to hit me?" I admitted and smirked more. I wanted to know how far I can go. Her eyes widened and I noticed her cheeks blushing. "Uh... I simply want to sleep, Senku..." She shyly answered. But this reaction didn't satisfy me yet.

I now cupped her cheek with my whole hand and approached her. The tips of our noses have already met. "What would you do if I'd kiss you?" I softly spoke and heard her gulp. "I... I don't know, Senku... Would you kiss me?" Now we were talking. I smirked again when I mustered her face. "I would." She was all flustered now and I...kind of liked to see her like this. She always had this tough character of hers that acted as a front. But here I was, breaking through that front with ease. I felt triumphant about this.
