...1172994892313 seconds passed from now. It was spring, which was the best time for you to wake up. As expected a couple millennia passed and while counting you noticed that 1 million seconds were your limit and you almost lost consciousness a couple of times. Approximately those cut-offs interrupted your counting for 2 seconds and you carefully considered those. The emotions you felt, the anger, the grief for the death of your family, the motivation to find out about the truth kept you going. Your brain counted, kept thinking, and felt intense emotions at the same time. You had to break out. You needed to. You needed to stop this horror right now. Right here.
"Move, body..."
"Break free, body."
"Now it's time to break free."Crack
After so many years, you opened your eyes. Finally, you were able to see, after such a long time of darkness and emptiness, left alone with only your thoughts. You felt some liquid drop on you and as your eye vision got clearer, you saw that it was raining, dark clouds and a tight forest around you. Eventually, you were able to fully break out and looked around you. Seeing your surroundings you knew that your assumption, of the time, going on just like it always did, was right. The counting was worth it.
You got up and felt water drops hit your body, after so many years of emptiness. It felt...comforting. You looked up and smiled. "After more than 3700 years, I broke free hm? If that annoying lettuce boy would be here he'd say "this is exhilarating" for sure." You mumbled to yourself, chuckling, and enjoyed the moment for some minutes.
You waited for a little for the rain to calm down and sheltered yourself from the rain so you wouldn't catch a cold. You were naked after all...Luckily no one else was around you. Soon after some minutes, the rain slowly stopped and the clouds faded away. You came out of your small shelter and returned to where you were, seeing something that caught your eye. The rain distracted you from what was important right now. You discovered the stone fragments you broke free from.
Kneeling down you analyzed them with your eyes, speculating what those might be. If they have an organic structure or if they are some kind of mineral. You were confused about how people could be turned into stone. There had to be a scientific Explantation for it.
You collected every stone fragment you found suspicious and arranged them together like a puzzle in which some areas stayed blank. As some pieces missed you found out something crucial. All of those stone pieces usually would have to turn back to your body but because of this huge time lapse, it wasn't possible which explained the stone fragments and also why some areas were missing. Those areas were fully able to turn back to your body.
You couldn't just leave the stone fragments there, they could give away more information about the petrification. They could be something to experiment with. You stood up, looked around, and thought about how you could take the fragments with you. But that was difficult since everything around you was nature. No bag to use.
As you walked around so you could collect ideas, you saw other people but those were still statues. You approached a statue, only to see that some parts of it were broken. And different from you, they were fully petrified, there was no flesh or bones. Everything cell of their body seemed to have turned to stone. Why were you different? Why aren't they able to return to their natural organic structure, being able to be a human being again? Was it the missing brain activity?
You sighed and nodded. "It seems like I truly have to start from zero all on my own, huh?" You noticed and broke some branches off some trees around you. You took some stones you thought were tough enough and rubbed stone on stone, with the branch between, creating thin threads of wood. Those had to be enough for a simple bag that shouldn't break that easily.
