Rivalry (Ishigami Senku x Reader)

Chapter 2

A week passed after you and that Senku boy had met. You already read through a lot of books and used your alone time when your parents weren't there for studying hard.

"Y/n, are you hungry?" Your Babysitter asked in front of the door but you ignored her, focusing on the book you read. "So if you vector the speed of how fast the car crashed with the other you can see the rest of the route they made?" You mumbled and typed what you just learned into the old calculator of your father that you found in your parent's bedroom.

Your babysitter then knocked at your door. "Y/n, I know you want to study but your brain won't work without the energy you get from eating. Would you please come out of your room?" She asked and you sighed since you knew she made a good point. "Fine fine..." you gave up and closed the book you were reading.

You finally left your room, only to notice that your father entered home the same time you left your room. "Daddy!!" You cheered in your parent's language, quickly shifting off of speaking japanese, and jumped in his arms with a happy smile. "Welcome home~!" You sang and hugged your father. He chuckled at your actions and lifted you up to hug you back. "It is 9:30 pm already. You usually come back at 8:30 pm. What happened?" You pouted and turned your head away from your father, clearly showing him that you were upset. He smiled and put you down.

"I was talking with the director of your school, Y/n. You are in 2nd grade since you started primary school last year." He started and you rose your brow in confusion. "He said now that you can read and write, you could be bored from being in second grade. You already know so much, so he suggested to let you skip 2nd grade and start with the 3rd grade already." Your eyes widened in amazement. "So you mean I can learn more already??" He chuckled and nodded. "Yes. So, what do you think? Do you want to go to 3rd grade?" He asked and lovingly patted your head. You beamed him a happy smile. "Yes! I don't like my class anyway, since they think I'm weird. I'd love to have a chance to finally make friends!"

"Meet your new classmate, L/n Y/n!"

"Ehhhhh???" The whole class then turned to the cause of that sound. You including. You couldn't believe your eyes. "Do you have a problem, Ishigami-san?" The teacher asked the boy and he groaned and shook his head. "Well then, please introduce yourself, L/n-san."

You nodded and did so. For a second your eyes met those of that annoying boy but you immediately looked away. You were meant to meet new friends in that class and learn new things, so why was this annoying Senku boy here?? You sighed and started to introduce yourself.

"So, my name is L/n Y/n and I'm from (your country). My parents moved a lot but my family decided to stay here in Japan for me because I wanted to stay." You tried to keep it short but your teacher interfered. "Tell us about your interests, what you like. What are your future plans?" You slightly felt pressured and took a deep breath, closing my eyes.

"I like to learn new things. I sometimes sing since my mother has a beautiful singing voice. We both are fans of Lillian Weinberg and from the book "the little prince". That book inspired me to be curious about space since stars and planets were mentioned a lot in this book. ...M-My favorite color is f/c." You finished and looked over to your teacher. She nodded and finally guided you to an empty seat in the front row.

Why was she here??? I could knock the table over from how I disliked the fact that she was here. I clenched my pencil and glared at her. "Hey, Senku...What's wrong?" Taiju whispered and I sighed. That girl had already started to introduce herself but I didn't bother to listen.
