We pulled away at light speed from the outskirts of the city into the open road, deep in the dark of night, it matched our moods perfectly. Like a fog so thick it made it difficult to breathe, tension radiating out of our physical bodies into the energy surrounding us, suffocating. The situation wasn't helped by the alcohol running through my veins, it did make my inner fire burn brighter but I was sober enough to see with clarity. Clarity enough to be kicking myself for thinking I could have a normal night without drama surrounding Barricade around everyone, mentally kicking him for his actions, it almost had me fooled. A seemingly normal couple that was only surface deep, giving the illusion of picture perfect, peel back the layers, and a whole world of fucked up was built beneath it.

"Humans will never be equal to Cybertronians", He sneered. "You will obey me. You are not to speak to that boy or his Autobot scum again, do you understand me?" Silence passed, "Bea?"

"Bea?!'' He warned more aggressively, still, for several minutes my stubborn arse remained silent as the grave.

"I am not one of your soldiers you can command," I snapped back.

''You think because of your position you have those privileges, you gave those up the second you got involved when you gave yourself to me!'' His voice bellowed so loud I had to shield my ears and shut my mouth from crying."Is that in any way unclear? Do not test my authority." I could practically feel his optics somehow watching me, unhinged aggression that dared me to try him.

Remaining quiet we continued driving I don't know if I was expecting the energy between us to dissipate as the miles rolled by, if anything it only increased between us. The silence thickened the atmosphere between us I needed a break ''pull over please.'' I requested.

''Barricade, please pull over.''

Getting no response I took things into my own hands, literally.
Grabbing the wheel I turned aggressively, briefly taken aback by my action we swerved in all directions both fighting for control. ''Stop!'' Barricade bellowed as I slammed on his brakes, tires screeching on the tarmac. Suddenly his holoform activated from beneath me, now sat in his lap his arms grabbed my own forcing me off the wheel and we came to a sudden stop on the verge of the dead road. I would never be a match for his strength, but it didn't stop my fury, ''fuck you!'' I screamed, harshly being forced around chest to chest with him, hand locked onto my chin like a vice forcing eye contact. ''You're lucky, my soldiers would never get away with such words, don't you dare test me, that fire will get you in deep trouble, little girl.'' His teeth clenched so tight if he were human they would've shattered.

''Oh, but that's just it isn't Barricade? You like it, deny it all you want but that spark of flames within me, is what makes me who I am and I'd rather die than ever let it be extinguished.'' His hold around the back of my neck tightened but I continued ''your actions speak more than your words, you had the chance to leave my life after that crash, I didn't even remember you and if you hadn't forced yourself back in I'd probably be none the wiser you existed. You.Chose.Me.''

We were so close, our chests tight together, lips almost touching as our stand-off continued ''You're so angry, but no matter how mad I make you or how mad you are at yourself for liking me, you're not sorry about it.''
