''So, Aydon, will it be a gas-guzzling Jeep, a Lambo, Hybrid, or full electric?'' I enquired, eyeing him through the opposite side of the car window, observing its interior.

''I think a Lambo, I wish.'' He laughed.

We were walking around a vast car sales complex, packed to the brim of used and new vehicles; with my memory back, and I found myself looking at any car in a new light, almost whispering hello before touching it, without looking mental, just in case.

''So, what's our budget?'' I asked.

''Around $8000-$11,000''

''Sweet, let's pick a few, compare them, and go from there?''

''Good idea.'' He agreed.

We continued walking around until we came across three potential test drives, all having a professional, stylish business vibe. Although we were shopping for Aydon, I found myself going back to the Tesla, thoughts rushing through my head.

''You know, this is nice, and all but this is quite out of budget.'' Aydon stood opposite me.

''You and me both. Though before coming back here, I was considering investing in one'' I admitted.

''Really?''

''Seriously, electric cars are becoming more popular, better, and with the government, money-back scheme encouraging electric over combustion I was considering it even saving up for it. Though with the accident, it's put me back somewhat'' I pondered.

''An electric car, where you live?'' He laughed.

''I can charge at home; more charging stations are being installed.''

''True, maybe I should consider one because-'' He suddenly paused, a sly smile creeping on his face.

Furrowing my brow in confusion ''What's up?''

''You're boyfriends here,'' He mused.

Confused, I turned around to see none other than Barricade walking towards us.

''We're not.. he's not-'' I stuttered.

''Then why are you blushing.'' Aydon teased.

I looked down, hiding my flustered appearance while Aydon giggled, knowing he had me for once.

''It's not like that; we arranged for him to pick me up after this.''

''Not yet.'' he winked.

''Are you done teasing me, you knob?'' I retorted.

Not realizing the stupidly big smile plastered on my face, I turned towards Barricade. He towered above us before even reaching us, something that only added to his symbol of authority. His presence seemed to have the staff on edge as soon as he walked into the complex; although they had nothing to hide and were busy selling cars to customers, they looked over him from the corner of their eyes until he reached us. Perks of being a ridiculously good fake cop, everyone is shitless scared of you.

''Hey,'' I greeted.

''Morning fleshy.'' He replied, a barely detectable small smile on his face when our eyes met; though it seemed somewhat pained, his whole body seemed tense. Was something up?

''Well, I'm taking this baby for a drive; I'm sure you too can find something to do while I'm gone.'' Aydon's suggestive tone earned him a glare from me before he went to the service desk.

Barricade immediately grabbed my hand, urging me to follow him to the outside of the complex, where cars hid us from the view of others. Before I could even ask, I got my answer as to what was wrong.
