The night proved to be anything but peaceful as the reality of a semi hostile alien parked in the garage doing... whatever it was he did set in. For what seemed like hours long into the night I paced around my old bedroom processing the reality I found myself in and I couldn't help the mixed emotional feelings of fear and excitement flowing through my veins. Having the conformation we weren't alone in the universe and the life form that sat below my feet was beyond what my imagination could express, I had so many questions that I wanted to know the answers to but the thought of asking said alien was daunting and for now beyond my anxiety.

Finally I managed to fall into a somewhat decent sleep but my senses were on high alert for the slightest hint of trouble lurking beyond the door that hid me in it's four walls, the warmth of my weighted blanket calmed my unease and I drifted off fairly easily waiting for the night to pass into the light of day. Unfortunately the peaceful long sleep I'd been wanting turned out to be just a dream when I was startled by a noise, I jumped out of bed with my heart racing as I walked into the darkened hallway looking for the source. Using my phone for light I scanned the stairs leading up to the third floor and back to the stairs leading to ground level, deciding on the latter I made my way down looking over anything out of place but everything was still until I came to the garage door that sat slightly ajar.

''Oh shit'' I mouthed guessing that Barricade had got bored of searching the garage.

My hand grasped the handle but stayed frozen with hesitation at the thought of the consequences of disturbing his car mode filling me with enough dread to withdraw, tip toeing backwards before carefully analyzing my surroundings again, everything was silent. Just as I was making my way back upstairs almost convincing myself I had left the door like that and was simply imagining things a series of somewhat familiar erratic noises confirmed they weren't a figment of my imagination, I tip toed as fast as I could up to the final set of stairs. Pointing the light my eyes widened at the sight.

''YOU?!'' I gasped, grabbing the strange metal creatures attention.

''It was you I saw in Sam's house the other night, you who pushed me into Barricade!'' I gasped in realization.

His facial features we're like nothing I'd ever seen but the look of smug glory at his role in my near death experience was unmistakable.

''You almost got me killed and now I'm having to play host to unwelcome guests.'' I sneered in frustration only to hear uncontrolled laughter at my expense, my anger at boiling point without thinking I threw my phone in his direction.

''Oh shit!'' he voiced, dodging the incoming object by mere millimetres.

His quick get away knocked a small table unbalancing one of my mum's vases, I gasped unable to reach it before the delicate china contacted the wooden floor shattering it into a million pieces, it was a fitting metaphor for my life situation and I angrily paced after it.

''You little-''

'' Aaaarrrrrggghhh!'' I screamed as I was harshly pulled back, a large hand muffing my voice and twisted around to meet an irritated face.

''Can't you ever keep your intake shut, it's me.'' Barricade grunted clearly unhappy.

''What's going on?'' he ordered.

My confidence sunk like Titanic from the emotions his face held, I couldn't maintain direct eye contact choosing to look in between his eyes instead.

''Your creepy little companion is sneaking around the place in the middle of the night, for all I knew it was someone breaking in, I wasn't exactly told it was also staying otherwise I would've made up a room and offered complimentary room service. Would he like his eggs fried or boiled??'' I sassed unable to think before it came out of my big fat mouth.
