Slowly my senses returned and upon opening my eyes I looked to the darkness of space and focused on the beauty of the stars twinkling as if dancing to a rhythm that couldn't be heard or understood, it was a sight to behold, they seemed to shine brighter tonight. It allowed me to focus and not worry about the passage of time, which is just an illusion in itself anyway, all I did was focus on the present allowing my senses to come back online and finally after a little break from reality I was able to control my body once more.
My head was sore and pulsing but I was in one piece be it battered and bruised I was alive with minor injuries, with help from the sturdy wire fencing I pulled myself up stumbling trying to regain balance my legs tingling. Suddenly the tell tale sound of robotic movement caught my attention and slowly I made my way closer, the smell of fuel filled the air but when dulled red optics shined in the shadowed area I got my answer. Sparks flew from his damaged form as I stood in silence watching and waiting for nothing in particular, I noted he was intact which to my surprise I felt somewhat relieved but didn't know why.
I made my way down what remained of stairs as he laid beside them, I wasn't sure if he was aware I was there but when his quadruped optics weakly brightened I knew he'd seen me.
''Don't even try to hide femme, I know you're there'' he growled.
''Wasn't going to'' I admitted.
''Come to see the show, well I'm afraid you've missed the main performance as you ran for your life.'' he sassed.
''Lucky for you I wasn't looking for a show'' I wearily spoke.
''And yet here you are, yet again. Leave now before I crush the life out of your veins'' he threatened.
''Oh no, you don't get to talk to me that way this time, the tables have turned as they say.'' I spoke as powerfully as I could.
''I am determined to get revenge on that little yellow cretin.'' He sneered in disgust at the position he was in.
Even with the pain he was obviously in he seemed faintly amused at my tone, I guess to him a human having the upper hand on him was funny and strange, I was so small compared to him yet there he lay unable to attack. I might have been foolish but I stepped closer and with each step taken it wasn't close enough and I found myself on the remains of the building that lay in ruin around him, I wanted to be closer than ever before and take him in for the first time. His optics followed my every move and when I finally stopped I was within touching distance, his hand moved sparking and but his gaze stayed fixed on me as if he was daring me to close the final distance between us, I did. I observed his alien form for the first time in exceptional detail, the components that were recognizable in his alt mode and how they functioned him in his mode now was nothing short of amazing and I felt slightly jealous of his abilities. I wanted to touch him, feel him and subconsciously my hand was moving in but the warning growl was enough to snap me back to reality and pull back to a safe distance.
''You said you were at war, from your behaviour I assume your the 'bad' side of the team.'' I
''What a marvelous observation for a monkey.'' He ridiculed, trying to get one up on me and wasn't I in the mood for his shit.
''Oh well I hate to correct you, but a humans closest living relatives are actually Bonobo and chimpanzees, who are classified as Hominidae whose members are known as Great Apes and not monkeys.'' I pushed right back, hearing a grunt in reply.
''A walking Encyclopedia aren't you.'' He grumbled.
''You used me, lied, threatened and forced your way into my life for your personal gain and then just the cherry on top were your actions today. Your species may be more advanced in many ways but deep down you're no different from the rest of us.'' '' I sneered disgusted.
