The heat of summer lingered in the room, thick and heady. Their cycles danced unpredictably, fueling emotions but never dictating their choices. This was no mere pull of nature—it was theirs to claim, their decision to make.

Jeno gently lowered Harin onto the bed, his movements deliberate and tender, as though she were a precious, fragile thing. Their clothes lay discarded, their bare skin pressed together, a silent promise lingering in the air. His hands roamed her sides, clinging to her as if she might disappear.

He leaned down, brushing feathery kisses along her jawline, trailing to the curve of her neck. His lips hovered over the spot where his mark would seal their bond, his breath warm against her skin.

Harin let out a soft moan, her body tense but yielding, as he slid into her with deliberate care. It wasn't merely physical; it was a distraction, an intimate salve for the pain that was to come.

"Shhh," Jeno whispered when he felt her stiffen, his voice steady yet gentle. "It's alright. We can stop."

"No! Jeno, please." Harin pulled him closer, her arms locking around his shoulders, her voice breaking with desperation. Her eyes brimmed with unshed tears. "I want this. I want you. I don't want to wait anymore. I know I'm ready, and I know you feel it too."

He sighed, brushing his thumb against her damp cheek. "I feel it, love. I do. But I don't want to hurt you."

"You won't." Her voice cracked, but her resolve held firm. "Please."

Reluctantly, Jeno nodded, shifting their position. He pulled out, his body trembling with restraint, and settled against the headboard with her on his lap.

"Let's take this slower," he suggested. "How about marking each other first?"

Harin froze, her mind stumbling over the unexpected proposal. "You want me to mark you?"

"Why not?" His lips curled into a gentle smile, his fingers tucking a stray lock of her hair behind her ear. "You're my alpha too."

Her face burned at his words, her heart thudding wildly. He laughed softly, his chest vibrating against hers, and pulled her closer until their bodies were flush.

"So, what do you say?"

"Alright," she whispered, her voice barely audible but resolute.

"Good." Jeno's smile widened. "Now, let's make it official."

Their breaths mingled as they nuzzled against each other's necks, searching for the perfect spot to leave their claim. Harin's alpha instincts surged to the surface, her fangs aching to bite, to mark what was hers.

Jeno could feel her hesitation dissipate, her lips grazing his neck. His voice dropped to a whisper. "Leave your mark on me, alpha."

With those words, he guided her hips, allowing himself to slide back inside her. She gasped at the sensation, her body trembling with pleasure and anticipation.

The moment her fangs broke his skin, he groaned—a deep, primal sound that only spurred her on. Her bite was firm but reverent, staking her claim with every fiber of her being.

Jeno, overcome with the mixture of pain and pleasure, buried his teeth into her neck. The sharp sting made her yelp, her body writhing against his as they completed the bond.

The pain ebbed, replaced by a pulsing connection that surged between them. Their scents intertwined, the unmistakable tang of blood lingering in the air. Jeno's movements quickened, his hands gripping her waist as he drove them both over the edge.

When they finally collapsed, their marks fresh and throbbing, Jeno pressed his lips to hers in a kiss that was both tender and possessive.

"Mine," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. His hold on her tightened as though he feared she might slip away. "My alpha."

Harin blinked through the haze, her lips curling into a tired smile. "My alpha," she echoed.

She reached out, her fingers brushing over the reddening mark on his pale neck. It was a beautiful contrast, a symbol of their union, their love.

"I'm yours, Harin," Jeno whispered, his voice low but firm. "Always. I'll never leave you. You'll never have to face anything alone."

Her vision blurred with tears. She clung to him, her body trembling with the weight of his promise. "I love you," she whispered, her voice shaky but unwavering.

Jeno paused, letting the words sink in. A soft, fond laugh escaped him before he pressed a kiss to her forehead, his lips lingering there. "I love you too."

Their bond was unbreakable now, their fates intertwined. In each other's arms, they found everything they had ever needed—love, strength, and an unshakable promise to face the world together.
