"It's not what it looks like."  both Y/N and Wanda said instantly as they saw Natasha stood there.

"Wanda, go, I'll talk to you later with Clint. Y/N...stay right fucking there." Natasha said as Y/N didn't even want to do the swear jar joke.

"Mom, look-"

"-Don't. When I said you wait until eighteen I knew you were lying, but the fact that you were lying for one of our team mates, one of my friends."

"What? Mom, we were out at the park with friends from school. We're not in a relationship, at least not the kind you're thinking of." Y/N said as Natasha scoffed.

"You want me to ask everyone to prove your story. I'll call all your friends right now." Natasha said as she called May, MJ's mom, and Ned's mom. All three of them had the same answer, they were at the park with Y/N and Wanda doing a study session when Flash tried to pick on them and Y/N made him back off.

"See." Y/N said as Natasha looked at him.

"Do you fancy her?" Natasha asked as Y/N looked her dead in the eyes and lied to his mother.

"No." Y/N said calmly as Natasha nodded, sending Y/N to his room. When she arrived at Wanda's room she read through Natasha's mind and saw the conversation and the end of it when Y/N denied having feelings for her, for all she knew, that was true.

"Nat-"

"It's fine, I jumped to the wrong conclusion. I'm sorry." Nat said as Wanda looked at her and nodded. "I asked him if he had feelings for you and he said no. What about you? do you have feelings for Y/N."

Wanda felt her heart twinge for a moment when Natasha told her.

"...No." Wanda said as Natasha nodded.

"So you're just friends, nothing more?"

"Just friends. Why are you so worried about it?"

"Y/N isn't allowed to be in a relationship until he's eighteen." Natasha said bluntly as Wanda looked up at her.

"What? Why, surely he can make his own mind up-"

"To stop what happened to him happening to him again. Plus I don't think he could handle rejection after what that bitch done to him." Nat said as Wanda looked at her like she was an idiot.

"He's stronger than you give him credit for. He's survived the orphanage, bullying by Flash for years, that woman, those sick experiments they did to him. Let him get into a relationship, he's old enough and if there is someone out there h cares for do you think he's going to wait until he's eighteen before he tries to start a relationship with them?" Wanda said as Natasha smirked at her.

"Just friends my ass, you do have feelings for him." Natasha said as Wanda looked at her and realized she's been tricked.

"Yes, I care about Y/N." Wanda said as the compound was Rocked by an explosion. Natasha rushed out and she saw that Y/N was already suited up and putting his helmet on, inserting the FRIDAY chip into the back of his helmet.

"What's happening?" Wanda asked as she pushed past Natasha and walked alongside Y/N.

"She's sent another wave, probably to 'reacquire' me." Y/N said as he walked into the armoury and found a locker with prototype weapons. He looked in the crate and found a bullpup assault rifle and a 9mm pistol.

As he ran outside Y/N could see the Avengers taking the offensive, he joined in, fighting back to back with them as they all worked in unison to fight Cirilla's forces. Y/N was fighting like it was nothing, wiping out the soldiers with ease.

Y/N was in the middle of fending off against the soldiers when a fist came in and managed to knock the wind out of him. He looked up and saw Cirilla wearing Armor with a similar design to his, using slightly less materials.

"FRIDAY, analyse her suit, give me targets." Y/N said as the scan started, Y/N began to engage in a fight with Cirilla who was wearing a helmet that showed he face off to Y/N. She was playing with his mind.

Cirilla pulled a knife out and Y/N used his armour to his advantage and managed to take a few attacks from her before going to attack. He punched her and she laughed at him.

"You seriously thought I'd fight you without augmentations of my own?" She taunted as Y/N headbutted Cirilla, she was unphased by it. He began to engage her in a deadly ballet as they both fought hand to hand, Cirilla was better trained however, at least she had trained for longer. She managed to grab Y/N's helmet and rip it off, throwing it away as she slashed her knife at Y/N, who just about dodged, the knife caught his chin. Y/N backflipped and kicked the knife from Cirilla's hand but before he could react she smiled and sprayed something from her gauntlet, Y/N stepped back and coughed slightly. Cirilla smirked as she approached Y/N who began to cough on the floor, she kicked Y/N in the ribs, he fell over, still coughing.

"Don't worry, it's not poison. You know what it is?" Cirilla said as Y/N looked up at her. "The same drug as my perfume, with the added bonus the more of it you ingest over time, the more it drains your augmentations."

Cirilla laughed as Y/N threw up. She was so caught up thinking she had won that she didn't Notice Wanda's magic until it picked her up and slammed her into her own helicopter. As Wanda approached Y/N who was on the floor suffering from some sort of seizure, Cirilla fled in her helicopter, having gotten the results she wanted, she now knew that Wanda cared for Y/N and that Y/N was vulnerable to the drug. The whole operation went according to plan, now she could formulate a new plan, one that would hit Y/N where he was most vulnerable and where he couldn't access his armour. She just had to bide her time.

Meanwhile in the med bay Y/N was being scanned as he sat on the edge of the medical bed, he had a small plaster on his chin where the knife cut him and his breathing was being checked by Bruce.

"Breathing seems normal, seems that the drug temporarily took away the effects of your augmentations. You should be fine now. Check up with me everyday for the next two weeks before you go to school or start training." Bruce said as Y/N nodded.

He stood up and Wanda helped him walk, the beating and the drug had taken it out of him. Wanda put Y/N's arm over her shoulder and began helping Y/N to his room. As he sat on the edge of his bed Wanda looked at Y/N.

"Thank you, for saving me out there and, y'know, walking me back." Y/N said as Wanda smiled.

"Don't mention it." Wanda said as she left, heading to her own room.
