Book 2: Chapter #1

2012:

"There was only one missile my lord, thrown at us by a man made of metal, by the time we knew what he was planning, we were hit." the Chitauri warrior said as he knelt in front of Thanos and the Chitauri leader.

"When you saw the planet that would make your new home, did you feel sympathy for those that you were about to take it from?" Thanos asked.

"No my lord."

"Yet you hesitated in sending more warriors through the portal, the battle was lost long before the missile hit, it was lost by your cowardice." Thanos scolded the warrior.

"I will do what I must to regain my honour, mighty Thanos--"

"No, Sal'loeb, you will not. The great balancing is soon approaching, and when it does, you will be judged on your actions, though for now, an example must be made of you. Take him to my daughter Nebula, she will show him the weight of his failures." Thanos ordered as Sal'loeb was dragged off to a chamber on Thanos' capital ship to await his punishment.

2020:

"Y/N, Twins, get your asses down here, you got school today!" Clint called out as the three all came out of their rooms at the same time dressed in their civilian clothes, Wanda looked at Y/N and blew a kiss to him, with Y/N blowing a kiss back before they all rushed down the stairs and into the kitchen where the toaster sprung three pop-tarts up, the three 17 year olds each caught their pop-tart, They where heading out when Thor passed them and saw what their breakfast was, he began to chase the three of them.

"Widowson, you've betrayed me!" Thor said as the three teenagers ran as fast as they could laughing, Thor gave up after a few minutes, the trio reached the school bus just in time, as they boarded it and the trio walked past Flash, he tried to trip Wanda up but Y/N's reactions were too quick, he caught her, stepping on Flash's ankle 'accidentally' as he sprung into action catching Wanda.

"Careful there." Wanda said as she regained her composure and they all sat down, with Flash complaining about his ankle, acting like he'd just been shot.

As Y/N sat down next to Peter, he saw that Parker was more down than his usual chirpy mood. Y/N still remembered the reason.

"You need anything today Pete, all you gotta do is ask." Y/N said as Peter turned to look at Y/N.

"Wait, you remembered the day?" Peter asked as Y/N nodded solemnly.

"Yeah. Pete, you're like a brother to me, of course I'd remember something like this." Y/N said as Pete, let out a grateful smile and nodded before putting his head on the window.

Wanda was sitting on the bus with her head on Y/N's shoulder and she began 'resting her eyes'. Y/N put his arm around Wanda's shoulders and kissed her on top of her head before letting his head fall back on the headrest, Y/N decided that he too needed to 'rest his eyes'. Granted he had a 'good' reason, he'd been up all night working on a new upgrade for FRIDAY, he'd managed to install her onto his smart watch. When the bus emptied, Y/N and his friends headed into school, making sure to thank the driver as the disembarked from the bus.

Y/N's Watch looks like this but red instead of blue:

As they were talking in the canteen with a few minutes left until class started, Y/N was working on his homework he had due in a few weeks from now.

"Dude, you have like three weeks to finish that, give yourself a break." Ned said as Y/N sighed but ultimately relented, he put the homework away and they carried on with their idle chit-chat until they had to head to class, when they walked into class the teacher looked at Y/N.

"Nice to see you're managing to arrive on time Mr Rushman." The teacher remarked as Y/N. "I'm impressed."

"Give him time, it's only first lesson." Pietro quipped causing Y/N to turn and look at him with a smirk before turning to face the front of the class again.

"Speedy little asshole." Y/N muttered to himself earning a laugh from Wanda.

"Stop it you two." Wanda said like a calm but disciplining mother.

"He started it." Y/N said childishly.

"Did not." Pietro responded.

"Did."

"Did not."

"I live with idiots." Wanda muttered to herself as Pietro and Y/N both let out laughs at her reaction. The teacher then made an announcement and handed permission slips out, Y/N didn't really listen and he just threw the slip into his bag, he knew what it was anyway, it was hardly a surprise for him.

The day went by smoothly until the gym session came around. 

"Thompson, you're paired with Rushman. Wanda, you're paired with Bishop."

When it came for Y/N to do press ups Flash pulled out a magazine and sat on Y/N's back trying to make him struggle but Y/N was breezing through it much to the annoyance of Flash who resorted to covertly trying to kick Y/N's arms out from under him only for Y/N's arms to not budge. The teacher looked over to Y/N.

"Good work there Rushman, you too Parker. Maximoff's, good work." The teacher said as they all got their last push ups in. Y/N stood up and Flash got into position to do his push ups. Flash got a modest amount in and Y/N wasn't doing anything to stop him, he was mostly just talking to Wanda through her mind link power.

The day ended and everyone went home, Y/N, Wanda, and Pietro all got picked up by Natasha who was in disguise. When they arrived back at the compound Y/N headed up to his room to do the last of his homework before catching up on some sleep, he was awoken by FRIDAY activating his alarm, when Y/N woke up he heard knocking at the door.

"Who is it?" Y/N asked calmly.

"It's me, can I come in?" Natasha said as Y/N opened the door using his watch. Nat walked in and was holding Wanda and Pietro's permission slips.

"So, Wanda and Pietro are going on this school trip, where's your slip?"

"Mom, seriously?"

"Don't seriously me young man, where's the slip?" Nat said putting on her 'Mother bear' voice.

"My bag. Do I really have to go?" Y/N responded as Natasha nodded.

"Mmhmm. So, we'll see you and your class here tomorrow." Natasha said as she left with a smile, Y/N closed the door and fell back on his bed with a huff before falling asleep...
