Y/N turned to look at Sal'Loeb beginning to walk away, he charged the alien and tackled Loeb to the floor, he began to beat up the chitauri but noting was happening. A punch came in on Y/N's right temple, the force of the punch sending Y/N falling onto his side another barrage of punches landed on the dazed Y/N, sending him to the floor again only for Loeb to kick him in the side of the head and then knock him out by slamming Y/N's head into the floor. Just before Y/N lost consciousness he saw Loeb walk away with the FRIDAY chip in his hand as he boarded a ship and left, leaving the unconscious body of Y/N on the roof of the Avengers Compound, Sal'Loebs mission was complete...

When Y/N came back to consciousness he was in the medical bay with bandages on his head, and the team gathered around, his eyes opened and immediately stung thanks to the bright lights, he felt like a vampire in the sun. Then he remembered...

"FRIDAY! Where's my helmet?" Y/N asked as he sat up and looked around, he found his helmet and picked it up, looking at the back of the helmet to see that the chip really was gone, the covenant had taken FRIDAY, one of his last remaining friends outside of his actual family, as a result, that made things, very, very simple for Y/N.

Natasha had received news that Y/N was awake from Jocasta, the new AI that ran the compound, with FRIDAY being designated as Y/N's personal AI full-time. As she reached the medical room where Y/N was being treated she saw the door open and Y/N walk out with his helmet back on and a sense of determination in his walk as he headed to the armoury and grabbed his guns, Natasha looked at him as he walked past her without a word. She followed him into the armoury and saw him readying himself for a one man war.

"Y/N. Y/N stop. You need to stop."

"They've got FRIDAY." Y/N said as he gathered ammo.

"Yeah, and if you go you'll die, then you're no use to anyone, and Earth still needs help defending against the Covenant, when we've pushed them back we can go and rescue FRIDAY." Natasha said as Y/N paused.

"I can't lose FRIDAY as well mom, I...can't lose anymore...friends."

Nat looked at Y/N sympathetically.

"I know Kiddo, I know. But we can't afford to get emotionally compromised and go running off on suicide missions on our own. We need to be smart, push the covenant back and then we can go and rescue FRIDAY." Nat said as Y/N's head dropped slightly. "Hey, I promise, we'll get her back."

Y/N hesitated for a moment before nodding to his mother.

"Now, let's start planning a counter attack." Natasha said as she lead Y/N to the war room where there was a meeting being held.

"We need to send nukes at that ship." One of the meeting members said as Y/N walked in, his hologram projected for everyone who wasn't in the room with him.

"No, that won't stop them, another will take it's place and we'll have less nukes for when we do need them. We need to start by fighting back on the ground, if we do that, take what small victories we...we take back our planet, then we take the fight to them. The covenant have likely set up small bases and landing grounds. So we take out the landing grounds, take away their ability to receive supplies and reinforcements. Then we move onto the bases take them all back, and then we can attack the supercarrier, get a small crew inside, and plant a nuke in the reactor, that will destroy it."

Y/N saw all of the meeting members nod and he handed the meeting over to Natasha, he went to his room to clean his weapons and prepare for when the team located a Covenant Landing Ground...
