Y/N and the twins all got back to the compound and headed to their rooms, they all began doing their homework when FRIDAY began to alert them to a commotion downstairs in the living room. Y/N, Wanda and Pietro all went downstairs and saw arguing with the Avengers.

"What's going on?" Y/N asked as SHIELD soldiers came over and grabbed Wanda and Pietro.

"Kid, Wanda and Pietro have to come with us-"

"Why?" Y/N interrupted.

"Because it's suspected that Wanda used her powers in public-"

"I didn't-" Wanda protested her innocence.

"That may be true, it may not, either way they both have to come to the helicarrier, Ross' orders, helicarrier or the RAFT." Fury said with a pained look on his face. He didn't want this any more than Y/N.

"Fury, they're kids, same age as me." Y/N said as Fury looked him in the eyes, silently apologizing to his nephew.

"That's why I'm hoping they go for the helicarrier." Fury said as Y/N looked at Fury who could almost see his intention. "I know what you're thinking, Junior. Don't, it'll just make things worse for them and everyone else."

"I know you lost your eye but I didn't think you'd lost your balls to Ross. Since when did you give a damn about orders?" Y/N asked as the two soldiers who had Pietro and Wanda tried to move the twins but Y/N turned on his heel while grabbing Natasha's dual wield pistols. "Let them go, don't think I won't." 

"Y/N..." Fury said as Y/N looked at him with a glare.

Hill, who'd been quiet and watching the situation unfold, leaned in close to Natasha.

"Nat, he's definitely yours, look at the death stare, just like his mama." Hill said earning a smirk off Natasha who looked at the confrontation.

"Let. Them. Go." Y/N growled as Wanda saw something that scared her in his eyes. The soldiers let the twins go reluctantly. 

"Y/N, we'll go to the Helicarrier and prove we were innocent, it's okay." Wanda said as she tried to calm Y/N down, she pulled him in for a hug. "Pietro, pack your bags. Y/N, we'll be fine...I promise."

"I will make sure nothing happens to 'em. I promise." Hill said as she smiled at her nephew.

"Fury, it you hurt them, we're coming for you and SHIELD." Natasha said as Fury nodded.

As Wanda and Pietro were escorted out Y/N stormed off to his room. That night he didn't come down when he was called to dinner, Natasha went up to his room and found it was empty, she headed to the labs and found Y/N working on his suit while listening to Queen at Live aid in 1985. Nat looked at him and thought he looked like a mini Tony, she smiled looking at him working, seeing him put his mind to use helping people, even if it is himself. Nat was pulled from her thoughts when she heard Steve behind her.

"Hey, how's he doing?" Steve asked as Nat smiled at his concern for Y/N.

"Well, he hasn't started listening to Justin Bieber so he's not reached the self-harming stage." Nat quipped as Steve chuckled. "He's just focusing on the work."

"Ross has wanted Wanda and Pietro ever since the arrived. We both know what he's going to try and do to them, Y/N knows and he's not going to let it happen, you know that, right?" Steve said as Natasha nodded.

"I'd expect nothing less from him. You know what he's like, he's never been one to let others suffer, especially his friends, and definitely not the girl he has a crush on." Natasha said as Steve nodded. "Guess he got that trait from growing up around you."

"No, that was his Mothers side of the family, destroying the Red Room and freeing Black Widows from that Dreykov guy." Steve said as Natasha looked at him. "Have you introduced him to your family yet?"

"No, not yet." Natasha answered as they saw Y/N finish up working on his suit before heading over to his workstation and pulling out blue prints. He looked over at them and began to alter the 3D hologram that was projected from the table. "God, he really takes after Tony when he's in the lab doesn't he?"

"Yeah, FRIDAY, record this and send it to Tony." Steve said as Natasha smiled. Steve looked at her smiling for a moment before realising he was staring, he looked back to Y/N who was working on something that looked way to advanced for Steve to understand.

Later that night when the team had mostly gone to bed Y/N headed back to his room and began to try and sleep, but he couldn't, he spent the night tossing and turning in his bed. He went to breakfast the next day and the team saw the bags under his eyes.

"Y/N, go back to bed, get some sleep." Natasha said as Y/N let out a groan and grabbed a piece of toasted fruit loaf from the toaster.

As he went to his room Y/N ate the slice of toast when he began to see images of Wanda and Pietro being experimented on by Ross. Y/N looked in Wanda's room and then Pietro's, they had both taken their phones with them. Y/N dialled Wanda's phone and it rung twice before Wanda picked up.

"Y/N, how'd you know I had my phone." Wanda asked as Y/N listened for any sign of distress in her voice.

"I checked to see if it was in yours or Pietro's room. How's SHIELD treating you both?" Y/N asked as Wanda smiled on the other end of the phone.

"We're fine. Hill is making sure we're protected." Wanda said as Y/N smirked.

"Yeah, she was like that for a while after they found me, Nat made Hill my godmother, 'Mama-lioness' we used to call her. You can trust her." Y/N said as he heard Wanda laugh. "I'd better get some sleep, you and Pietro take care alright."

"Will do, see you soon." Wanda said as they both hung up. Y/N went to sleep while Wanda went to check in with Hill in her office. "When can we go back to the compound?"

"When we receive orders from Ross, I don't know what he wants but be careful. Something doesn't seem right about this, we're just having to ride the wave of this on and hope we figure it out soon."
