The team were all gathering their equipment, Y/N was bringing his usual loadout of his assault rifle, his shotgun, and his pistol. He was waiting, sitting on the edge of the machine, looking at a photo of him and Wanda, he heard footsteps approaching, Y/N looked up and saw Cirilla approaching, she was holding her suit helmet in her hands as she walked over to him and sat next to him.

"Cirilla, I'm really not in the mood for whatever argument it is that you have planned." Y/N said as Cirilla looked at him.

"No argument, I just, I want to talk. Look Y/N, I just want you to know, I gave you those augmentations for two reasons, yes, one was to have a super-soldier in my army, but the other, that was because I knew something like this was coming, ever since the Chitauri invasion, I knew this world needed a protector, someone who could win even without a team at his side. I reckoned that they would need to be decently trained so I looked through the candidates from our orphanage who went through the preparation for the changes, out of the hundred, fifty survived, forty eight later died of illnesses caused by the augmentation preparation process, you and me were the only ones who could survive this. So I made sure to give us both the augmentations. I know that I did a lot that I didn't need to, like the sex...so, I'm sorry." Cirilla said as Y/N looked at her before lowering his gaze back to the photo of Wanda.

"It's going to take a lot more than a 'sorry' to make it better Cirilla. You raped me using drugs, so it will take a hell of a lot more than sorry, but over the past few years, I've learned that it's better to keep your list of enemies to a minimum. So I'll be willing to give you a chance to prove you're sorry, join the Avengers, help us stop what happened to us happening to others, do that and that would be a good start to things." Y/N said as Cirilla nodded, she let a tear roll down her face as Y/N looked sceptical. "It's not usual for you to act like this, what's going on? Where's the cocky attitude gone?"

"I just, I don't know, I just feel like this might be my last chance to do one thing right. You know?" Cirilla said as Y/N nodded.

"It does feel like a charge of the light brigade situation right now. But if there's even the slightest chance of bringing them back, bringing her back, then I'll do whatever it takes." Y/N said as Cirilla nodded.

They both looked to the doorway that opened to reveal The team that was gathering, they were all wearing suits that were made for this 'Time-Heist'. They all gathered around in a circle on the machine.

"A year ago, we lost. We lost friends, family...lovers. We let them down, we messed up, today is our chance to make that right, our chance to bring back everyone and everything that we lost. We only have enough for one trip, so we need to make this count, there's no room for mistakes, there's no do-overs, we only get one shot, let's land the target. Today is the day we put it all on the line, the day we also draw that line, I know what we're doing is considered to be a suicide mission, but we've been on them before and we've won, today, we win again, whatever it takes." Y/N said as Natasha looked at him proudly.

"He's really good at that." Rocket stated as Cirilla smirked.

"Damn right!" Cirilla remarked to Rocket.

"You all know your teams, you all know your objectives, and we all know our theatre of war, but that doesn't mean we know what's waiting for us on the other side of this, stick with your teams, look after one another, together, we'll win this war against Thanos." Y/N stated as they all nodded.

Natasha looked to Y/N and Clint.

"See ya in a minute." Natasha said as Y/N smiled at his mother. Nat then looked over to Steve and blew a kiss to him. 

"Let's go."

With that the group all readied their suits and used the machine travelling back in time to their determined destinations with one mission objective, get the stones and come back, but for one team member, they would not be coming back...
