THE FLEXICUTIONER SPEEDS off, leaving a gap from where he just stood, and launches towards Ember, preparing to attack her with his ax, but Ember dodges, cartwheeling away from him.
She continues to evade his attacks until the Flexicutioner hits the ground with his ax, blowing Ember away. She uses her abomination magic to create a slide for her to land on, and she slides onto her feet.
The Flexicutioner once more prepares to attack her with his ax, but Ember pulls out an invisibility glyph and uses it, making her invisible and confusing the Flexicutioner. Unbeknownst to him, Ember reappears behind him. She then slaps a fire spell on his back, which sends him ricocheting out of the arena. The announcer then comes over and raises Ember's hand, declaring that she has won the match.
Amity and Luz fight their opponents after Ember as Emira is busy trying to cure an injury on Ember's cheek with Healing magic. Amity makes the Book Forger smash into a pile of dirt next to them and then fall face down onto the ground.
Luz finds herself facing down an old goat demon. The demon smashes her walking cane into her knee, splitting it in half. She then starts shrieking, forming a battle aura around her. Luz immediately takes out 2 smoke glyphs from her pocket and smashes them together, creating a large amount of mist. She then escorts the demon out of the mist. The demon pushes her away and tries to walk off on her own, but accidentally falls down the stage instead. The announcer comes, grabs Luz's arm, and lifts it, declaring her the winner. The audience cheers as Luz pulls away and jumps offstage and Warden Wrath jumps onstage.
On stage, Warden Wrath is tossing a contestant in between his hands while laughing. When she makes it to her friends, Ember is pacing around while Emira is trying to cure a wound on Amity's knee with Healing magic.
"Woo! This is a workout! You doin' okay, Amity?" Luz asks, tilting her head. Luz walks up to the duo and stares down at Amity's wound.
"Yeah." Her jaw clenched up. "This is just a nasty one."
"Ha! Reminds me of the Grudgby match." She suddenly pushes Emira forward. "Oh! Remember when-"
"Hey, Luz!" She accidentally snaps, and when Luz flinches, she sighs. "Maybe you can talk after? I need to focus."
Luz steps back, and Ember catches her by the shoulders. "Oh! Of course, of course. I'll just..." She looks back at a concerned Ember before kneeling. "sit quietly... with my thoughts."
