"Sumedh we want to take Shrey with us for few days"

An elderly man in his 50s said.

"But I don't want to give" Sumedh refused curtly.

"Sumedh he is our grandson too.... And u never let us to take him with us. What is our fault?" He let out a disappointed cry.

"Nothing sir, but I don't want him to go at her place" He said.

"But she has left us years ago."

"Idk if u have hidden her at ur home?"

"Sumedh!! We won't do that. She not just insulted u but also had embarrassed us." He said hardly controlling his patience.

"Papa let me to go na! I love nani special food" Shrey said innocently.

"but..." Sumedh tried to object.

"Samdhi ji Shrey is going with u guys" Vasudev said with a smile bringing it on the other ones face too.

"Dad??"

"It is completely fine Sumedh."

"Nanu wait let me pack my bags" Shrey said and quickly went to his room.

"Suzi aunty pls check what he is taking! He'll definitely fill the bag with his cars and video game sets. U go and prepare another bag of clothes, brush, slippers etc. He needs!" Sumedh said being very much irritated and not interested at least.... He just looked after for his son's comfort.

Suzi was a middle aged lady, basically a babysitter who looked after Shrey when everyone used to be busy in their works. Sumedh never trusted on words of people but he did on money thus Suzi, cause she had been paid for it and money speaks!!

"Ok sir" She said and left.

"Disgusting!! This boy loves to be with strangers more than the closed ones!"

He said irritatingly throwing daggers on his father-in-law.

"Are we strangers?" He asked in a low and sorrowful voice.

"Yes u r... Cz ur the thread of connection with us was Mallika and now she has gone of our lives. So u r strangers"

Sumedh said rudely. His rude nature was what everyone knew but the softer side only for his family. He didn't like Mallika's family at first cause they tried to force her for marrying someone else. Later, though he tried to adjust after their several apologies but again his mind turned after the incident. He claimed her parents too for this.

"Now the thread of connection is Shrey. He is just like her.... Being grandparents from his mother's side shouldn't we desire to keep him for few days with us?" The man said in a very hurt voice.

"Mother?? Who?? That traitor who left us for someone else and moved on with the one?"

He let out a bitter laugh and blinked his eyes numerous times just to hide his glassy gaze and his weakness because of the storm going inside him.

"Atleast she didn't cheat the other guy. I hope so..."

"What?? What are saying Sumedh?"

He asked in an utmost shock... Hearing his son-in-law's words.

"Yes sir!! She has come back after 4 years with her daughter!! She moved on with other guy she said!"

"No.. No... Way!!! Where's she I want to meet... I want to tell how her son cries for... " He was cut but Sumedh as he yelled in full rage.

"She is not his mother!!! I shall never let him know who is his mother!"

"But Sumedh, Mall..." Sumedh eyed him to not speak anything as Shrey had entered the place.

"Nanu??"

"Ha beta chalo"

"Okiee..."

Then they went. Sumedh turned towards the window and closed his eyes remembering their former days. Their first meet. The special feeling for very first time.

A beautiful gigglings night...
Stars shone bright....

She smiled looking at me....
My eyes replied in glee....

Her features laid me in tranquility..
I felt meeting her like eternity....

Smile tugged on her lips willing to say....
I wanted the words to be directed in my way...

A fairy played there with my heart...
I caged her there not letting her apart....

Unknown feelings, rising desires...
Special emotions still I admire....

She's not ur and can never be...
U r a demon but she's a fairy....

My heart mocked...
Though the words are true...
A demon can't love a fairy like u...

I closed my eyes in frustration... What was I thinking of... I am a murderer. I can't mix up with her. But her eyes are so childishly attractive. So soft features. I continued to stare the stars above in the sky, afterall returning from another hell I find my solace on the terrace... Finding my mumma between the billions.

"Ik u stare at me from there. I disappointed u a lot but I don't have the answers myself why I did that all of a sudden. I don't even remember everything properly. I am sorry... Dad is so good, he still wanted and let me tk complete my studies after everything happened too... Today when I went to the college... U know mumma, I saw a new girl of 1st year only. In my class only. She was so pretty just like you. While no one talks with me because of my temper and awkwardly silent nature, she came to me and sat with me, willingly!! She smiled looking at me. Her name idk.... I did not ask but she was a complete chatterbox. I just freaked out thinking that she spoke a lot but I heard nothing. Then I realized I was staring at her. Whereas everyone were throwing shocking glares at us seeing me not reacting to her words 🙂"

And I talked with mumma a lot. I said her everything. I remembered how I passed my time talking with her the whole day when I was in asylum... Huff!! *Bitter chuckles*

Vasudev silently left him alone. He did not realize when his dad had come and heard his silent words of heart those came out in his lonely part.
